Hi Nola. I saw your post today, and WOW! Twin grand boys and twin grand girls! How wonderful and unique is that? I'm sure it is going to lead to some confusing moments in the future! Cheers!

Nola, I just read your comment about your grandchildren. Congratulations to you! How special it is that you son has twin sons and your daughter has twin daughters! I hope you live close enough to enjoy all of them! (I also hope that your son's single son doesn't feel left out - not having a twin.)

That is so eerie!! My husband's family lives in Wagga! They moved there from Newcastle in the 60's. He has never really lived there though because he was at boarding school in Sydney so only spent school holidays there. We were married there in the RAAF Base Chapel in Jan 1974. My Dad was in the RAAF we moved there in Jan 1971, but I only lived there for a couple of months, because I started nursing in Sydney in March ('71). I've lived in Sydney ever since (I was born in Sydney, but didn't live here till nursing). I did my Midwifery training at RNSH! I was in Townsville when I was 4ths old - Dad was there with the Airforce! Started school near Adelaide (Mallala), & I did most of my high school in QLD at Toowoomba. One of my sister has identical twin boys, they're in their 30's now & one of my Aunts had 2 sets of twins!

Well, that's good timing. I finally got to pay you a return visit and I see it must be your daughter's birthday, so a very Happy Birthday to her.
Thanks for visiting my page, Nola. My son is the bike lover and has had a succession of bikes since he was 17. I preferred his Triumph 950 but he said he was never comfortable on it as he is quite tall. This is the second Harley he's had now and it was a special order import.
The ride across the Nullabor and along the Great Ocean Road must have been awesome for your husband Greg, as I've been along there in a small tourist bus and across the Nullabor in the early 70's by car.
Cheers!
Anne

Hi Nola, thanks for visiting my page. Yes, it does indeed seem like this site is full of animal lovers. My shizhu, Muffin, was adopted from the streets - I believe she did not have a happy past, but she is now a contented mutt. Mickey is a peke-pug mix, and he has a lovely temperament - he turns 6 in September. I also have 5 cats!

I love the picture of your 2 little bundles!

Nola - thanks for watching the video. A friend sent it to my e-mail address yesterday (I guess it's been around for awhile...but I had never seen it) - I was moved to tears. I'm a huge animal lover, too!

Hi Nola, yep still raining here, don't think it is going to let up yet. I am from the south side of Brissy, Thorneside/Birkdale near the water, I keep my boat at a friends house on a canal estate so only 5 mins from home. See you are enjoying your time here. Still off work till the end of next week from surgery so you will see me around more in this time. Are they your two angels?

Hello Nola, and I am sorry that I have not visited your page before! Lovely to see your much awaited Xmas grandies, and I suppose they are just about on the move by now!
I was a bit concerned by your reference to the 'freezing' weather up there, as we are driving to Cairns to visit our daughter over the next couple of weeks, and were hoping for lots of warm weather. How cold is 'freezing' for you?? It was only 8 (I can't find a degrees symbol) here this morning when I left home, and that was cold!!

Hello Nola, and yes, I agree, 7 is VERY cold!!! We had 10 here this morning, so I should be feeling warm. Bethany, my daughter, tells me it has got down to 11 in Cairns lately, so I had better pack some winter woolies!
We leave here on Thursday 7th Aug, and will be passing thru Bundaberg on the 12th, and are looking forward to it very much.

Summerland is in the Okanagan valley in British Columbia, Canada. This area produces fruit and wine and attracts tourists and retirees. What kind of place in Bundaberg?

I joined after playing at sudoku on this site for a long time. I say "playing at" because I tend to ignore the timer and just have fun.

Yep - Nola - Today is my "Medicare" Birthday. So what do I get - to have Medicare deducted from my Social Security & on top of that my monthly medical premiums for "Medicare Gap" coverage ends up being higher than what I was paying for FULL medical coverage. It doesn't make sense.

Hi Nola! I remember your mention of having two sets of twin grandchildren, but I never did get around to visiting your page until today - sorry! I see that I also missed your birthday back on June 2. Oh dear, it's so hard to keep up with everything going on here in Sudokuland. I DIDN'T miss, though, your mention of the upcoming visit of the girl twins & parents. You must be SO anxious to see them again! I forget if you said exactly when they will arrive. Whenever it is I hope you'll have a wonderful time & take more pictures to post in your Gallery. I'll bet they're even cuter now than when they were newborns. Enjoy!!

What a coincidence! We are headed down to Bradenton in an hour or so to go to the 60th birthday party for one of our friend's. It's about an hour's drive from our house to Bradenton. The beach down there is beautiful. Do your nephew & his wife enjoy water sports, boating, fishing, etc.? If so, they're in a great place!!

I love your poem, Nola! Our daughter has three children, and our son's wife is having their first next month. So, your poem is very apropos for me! Those little girls of yours are true miracles. Isn't grandparenting the "best job you've never had?"!!! (One for each of yours!)

Nola, bravo.
Print it out twice, pretty it up with ribbons and bows and frame them. Each of your precious grandies should have a copy to keep forever.
Sweet and touching.

Hi Nola

Have been to Bundy a few times in my life. Nice area.
Inlaws had a place out at Bagara for a while.
Always enjoyed the cool summer breeze. A change from our tropical heat.
As for work, yes I work in an open cut coal mine in the Bowen basin, but really look forward to getting home every time, as you could imagine.
I've been playing Sudoku on this site on and off since about 3 months after it started and have always enjoyed the banter and discussions that go on. Sometimes I even play a game or two.
Thanks for the line but for now I better get back to work.
Cheers
Pete
