For when you get back Viv - she usually stays for 2 weeks but it looks like being 4 this time as she has so many people who want to see her and is planning a trip to Sydney too.

This tiredness I have been feeling will not leave me. Apparently it is a symptom of thyroid problem. I am only on half a tablet a day so do not know if this will make any difference.
I had a little snooze while in the chair at the hairdressers this morning !!!!Arghghghhghghg.
How embarrassing.
I had better go to bed now. Nite.

GOOD MORNING SUDOKULAND for the topsider's version of the page!

I am dropping in again without reading all the pages, hope to get back to those soon.

I have a question. I have a e-mail in my box from batescb with a .au ending, is this one of the Aussies? sorry I do not recognize if it is. I have been asked by hubby not to open e-mail with pictures or attachments from someone I do not know. Since this computer is networked with the one that is our business computer, well, it would not be easy living here if I picked up a virus that messed with his business mail! I checked the sudoku e-mail addresses I have, but I know I might not have saved all of them I should have to my address book. Hope someone might recognize the name and let me know, many thanks!

Heidi, hope the jury duty goes well, and that you do not fall sleep in your chair! I do think your Mono should have excused you from jury duty, it would not look good for a juryman to be asleep during the trial! You shall be feeding early and late it seems, unless IH will take on some of the feeding chores while you are serving.

NOLA, I know how you feel, hate when I loose a nice long message into cyber space! Congrats on the twins walking hope you see them soon.

VICI, oh no, thought I was only one who had constant worries about frozen water! Glad yours is back flowing again, and hope no cracks or permanent leaks. Want to borrow my hot air popcorn popper? I know just where it is, saw it just Friday!

About graphics with black backgrounds, I had a few did that , when I was getting them from the internet instead of my Print shop Program. I never figured out why some would change to black backgrounds and some did not. I think the ones that changed had been other than JPG files and i had to do " save as" JPG and they turned black backgrounds then, but been so long I cannot remember for sure.

BEAN what an unnecessary drama at MIL house! I am glad all managed to get through it, but so sorry it happened!

It has been years since I went camping. We had a work van, and had a removable full sized bed to go across the back, a very good, dry, secure from animals, non sandy bed. Nice foam mattress. there were public restrooms nearby and showers but some privacy with individual shower stalls and plastic shower curtains across the openings. We usually went for weekends, and I loved camping. It has been more than 10 years since we went, not sure I would want to rough it now, a long walk middle of the night when sleepy to visit the facilities. and us old folks do have to make that visit middle of the night, you know!

Good morning all! Ian doesn't have school today. Since his school feeds from several districts, two of the big ones are closed for lack of power still, so his is closed. I don't know if his school has power or not. The trees are still laden with snow and ice, the branches and trees are still falling. I can hear them outside my window, constant cracking! It makes it worse because the temp is warming up, 34F.

Morning MizT! Hope you are in fine form this morning! I have a million things to do. Hubby is picking up Brendan from school today. I'm picking up the girls on Thursday. My inlaws fly in on Saturday morning. Hubby does not think we will get everything done before they arrive. I've let a lot of things go because of my shoulder. Even though I still can't do it, it must get done!

Tip of the Week" Nothing glues wood better (like a beheaded nutcracker) than Elmer's Glue. Believe it or not. The common cheap stuff works best!!!

I leave for Jury Duty in 45 minutes. I don't want to do this, but it will be worse if I postpone it due to Mono.

Bean.... Here... use my strait jacket. Please send me that cow email that I didn't get. I pm'd my email addy. to you.

Suzy - I felt all creepy-crawly just reading about your spiders...don't mind them either, except when they are crawling on me. Remember the urban legend about the woman with the up-do that sprayed her hair and left it that way for so long that a spider built a nest and hatched it's babies in her hair-do? ewwwww!

I was called for jury duty twice. Once, I made the trip to the clerk's office, with my one year old in her stroller and asked if they provided baby sitting services hehehe. I was excused on the spot. Next time was about 5 months ago, for a federal grand jury. I wrote back saying I was taking medication that made me sleepy, I took a nap every day, and I could not tolerate sitting for more than 30 minutes at a time without moving about. Did I need to send a doctor's excuse? they wrote back and said I was excused. If I wait as long between again (45 years) I shall be long gone and my heirs can answer the mail!

and !!!!
That was easier than expected! I was one of about 200 called. They immediately selected 22 people to serve on the Grand Jury for the year. I was not picked. They then told the rest of us that there are no upcoming jury trials in the near future, and on average, there is only one a year anyways. So the likelihood of having to serve is quite small. AND we were told that the last few only lasted a day or 2. If there is a jury trial, we will get 1 weeks notice in the mail.

The last time I was called for jury duty was in New Jersey. We came in, were given instructions like today, but then they immediately went into jury selection for a murder trial, and I got picked. Juror #8. That trial only lasted 2 days, though, and the jury deliberated for about 15 minutes. The fool (a 19 year old former HS jock) had boasted about it to his buddies ... who then went to the cops.
