I'm near Chicago - went on a road trip this early summer day - Went across the top of Illinois to bring some needed items to my son who is away at College - it's about a 2 1/2 hour trip to the border of Ill from my home - of course, that is when my husband is driving Storms were passing though. hope to go to a baseball game tomorrow - White Sox -- enjoy your day, Mary dropping of a Chicago favorite and one of mine

Noted your comment June 14 Tough about box elder flames and pen making. Does box elder grow in Australia? It's fairly common here in Michigan, though it's usually considered a "junk wood" because many people don't know about the flame that occurs when the wood is stressed. My husband collects box elder specimens, especially flames, burls and spalted. Then he makes pens and other items. Thanks for posting your comment. Nice to find a fellow appreciator of fine wood. And, yes, our house crawls in early autumn with the box elder beetle and with the orange Asian ladybugs that stink and bite.

Hello Simo - I thought I had welcomed you when I visited your page once but I obviously hadn't.
So to our sometimes crazy world of sudoku.
Do I take it you are/were in the navy as you said you have only visited Albany by ship. What a great sight that would be, but there again, you have probably seen many wonderful ports as you enter them.

Hello Bruce - Thanks for calling in for a visit. I have heard the name Hepworth as either my son or one of my daughter's knew someone by that name just after they had left school.
I went in to your site and had a look at some of your pens, they are absolutely beautiful. What a craftsman you are! I hope you manage to sell plenty, which I'm sure you would, looking at them. They'd be hard to resist.

I haven't been on for a couple of days and just got your message.


You are right! Sudoku is very addictive. I love to see the pictures when solved. Some people will do the puzzles as a jigsaw to see the picture, but I have to solve the puzzles. I always have to guess a bit on the difficult ones though.

I no longer have the baby rabbits. I probably should remove the picture. They were really cute and lovable. The mommy and daddy are just visiting and my daughter was told that they were both males. Obviously, that was not the case. Unfortunately, we did not discover the truth until the second litter was on the way!
