Hi Sophia! I have had a hard time "shrinking" pictures. I bought the program Adobe Photoshop and it has helped. Since then, Gath has added programs to help also. Angie/Melbourne is a wizard at computer "stuff." If you get in a pinch, I would talk to her. I am glad you stopped by!

Hi Sophia! Thought I'd stop by with some page warming goodies...If you need any help with the tech part of getting your page all spruced up and stuff...there is help under "Forum" - I'm kind of new here myself and needed direction. Lots of friendly help here!

Hi Sophia, sorry I haven't visited before but just saw your post on easy. Belated hope you are enjoying your time here, I love it.
Have you tried restoring your computer to a previous point in time to get rid of the error?, if you are not sure just let me know and I will walk you thru it.

on getting an avatar. It took me months and that was with a LOT of help!
I have heaps of smilies, but I get them from typing in a google search, not by going to any particular site. Just type in the search box the topic you want to get a pic for eg balloons then click on images. You can save them directly from that page by right clicking on any image. I then resize them by using Paint Shop Pro, but any number of programs will work. By getting them directly off google, you don't open yourself up to viruses.

I will be visiting her grave sometime when I come down shortly for a visit to Geelong with my hubby and son.

I was born and bred in Geelong as hubby was, but son was born here.

Sophia, it's a very small world! I learnt that a looong time ago. Fancy us being neighbours once.
About my name avatars, the first 'Gail' one I had was beautifully made for me by MizTricia. She is the master of name avatars. I believe she designs them on paint, ask her, I am sure she will be able to help. Most of us that use the SA5 page have name avatars due to her. The second 'Gail' I am currently using, I 'borrowed' from google images. How tragic to admit I googled my name, but there it was! I resised it and made it square which is why it has the yellow border.

Hope you are well.
To restore your computer to an earlier time (hope you are on windows i didn't think to ask):
Click on your 'start' button in the left hand corner and select 'Help and Support'
The should be an option to 'Undo changes to your computer with system restore' click on that the select 'restore my computer to an earlier time'
this will come up with a calander (dates that are in bold are restore points) and select a day prior to when you made the changes, just follow the prompts after that and you will have to restart your computer for the changes to take effect. You will not loose any work you have done just the programs that were installed after that point. Hope this helps, give me a shout if i am not making sense or you need more help.

Sophia, thank you for the birthday greetings! Here you are, a new member, and already exploring other pages; your efforts are definitely appreciated. Sounds as if you live in an interesting part of Australia. Some of the photos that I've seen on this site actually remind me of parts of Utah. I will say that I thoroughly enjoy the Australian contingent on this site, even if I don't post often anymore. And now I'll watch for your name and see what you have to say.
