Hi Sophia. so much for the birthday wishes. I had a wonderful day! I'm sorry it's taken so long! I hope you were not in the fire ravaged area of Victoria! It's been a terrible time. My thought & prayers have been with all Victorians, as well as the flooded Queenslanders & now northern NS Welshmen too! We have also had a few brushes with the fire devil this year too.

Sophia, so glad you dropped by for a visit! Yes, you absolutely must come to Canada. Near us, we've got "wine country" which makes for a nice Sunday drive and plenty of opportunities for wine tasting. There's Niagara Falls, too, and there's always something going on in Toronto, an hour away. About two hours north is cottage country, with beautiful lakes and astronomically priced "cottages". Canada's east coast is wonderful, relaxed, with down-to-earth people who will give you a warm welcome. The west is dramatic, with jaw-dropping scenery, especially in Alberta where the drive from Banff to Jasper is the best you'll ever see. Plenty to offer here, so what are you waiting for? Meanwhile, I'll leave you with a bottle of Niagara ice wine which you sip for dessert; what the heck, here's a bottle of maple syrup too! I've been to Australia--Sydney, Melbourne, and Palm Cove--and intend to return one day. Fabulous place--lucky you!

Thank you for the belated welcome. I've been a sudoku fan for years, but only recently joined this group. You're right, it does seem like a wonderful bunch of people, and I do enjoy the camaraderie there. I live in the mountains of western North Carolina, US, just west of the town of Franklin. (You can see it on Google Maps, btw). To clarify for you: the mountain views in my page are from my home.
