Don't worry, Sophia. It's great to get birthday wishes from people I don't even know, even if they're sent to me by mistake! It's very nice to meet you....

Thanks for the lovely welcome Sophia. You were the first to say hello to me and I have had a few others. I have been doing the puzzles for a while now but thought it was time I got a bit more involved. I'm looking forward to being part of The Club. Cheers.

Hi Sophia....have you found us all yet?
It may be quiet on easy but it certainly isn't in SA. In fact it is busier and chattier than ever..
Go to FORUM and look under OFF TOPIC. It is usually up at the top of the list...be warned....it is seriously for sudokuaholics as the name implies. Once you get sucked into the high jinks there you'll find it very easy to fritter away far too much time...
Hope to see you posting there...

Hello Sophia, Thanks for the visit, I have not been on Sudoku much the last month so have missed many people joining. Yes, the OK stands for Oklahoma.
We have a large yard [garden] and we both love flowers, we have many different kinds. We try to have something in bloom from April until November. The Cana Lily and Mums are in bloom now.
Hope you enjoy your time in Sudokuland.

Hi Sophia;
Thanks for dropping by at my place and introducing yourself - and for your nice comments. You have joined at a time that is quiet for me. I haven't had much time recently to travel and relax in Sudokuland, but in the words of the great Arnie Schwarzenegger "I'll be back". Meanwhile, have a happy time with us all here.

Hi Sophia, Thanks for stopping by. I too love hummingbirds. In my part of the country we only have one species, the Ruby-throated. I do have a feeder for them, and I plant petunias for them. I only see one maybe 2 birds at a time. So they are never a nuisance. We often eat dinner on our patio in the warm months and the hummers will come to the feeder while we are there. What they lack in size they make up in beauty, courage and ability. Too bad for me they are only here 3-4 months!

Sophia! Thanks for stopping by my page. That's what I did, too...it took awhile to get to know folks...and I still have SO many more pages to catch up on. Stop into SA6 sometime (if you haven't already). You just go to Forum and look under the 3rd catagory (Off Topic) - it's the first subject (Sudokuholics Annonymous 6). When you get there go to the last page and post a 'hello' - come back and see how everyone greets you so warmly there!

Hi Sophia, Sorry it took so long acknowledging your message of friendship. We have been travelling and while in Death Valley last week we had little computer time as we had to go across the street to get messages. We are now back in civilization and continuing our trek to Yuma Arizona for the winter.
Have a great day ...

Hi Sophia, welcome to the site. Glad you enjoyed my pics. Jupiter is on Florida's east coast, 90 miles north of Miami. Jupiter was the name of the chief Roman God. The next town on the coast is Juno, Jupiter's consort. Juno Beach's city streets are named for the Roman Gods, such as Saturn, Mars, etc.

Hi Sophia, dropped by to find out which part of country Vic, you are from. I know roughly where Skipton is and its a long way from Sandy Point, which is also a small town with about 150 people (except in summer when we have ten tomes that number) I hope you got plenty of the recent rain and that it came at a good time for you.

Hi Sophia, thank you for the safe travel wishes. Amber and I are quite excited about our adventure. I am sure we will have a great time. We have lots of things we would like to see. I wish we could stay longer and visit more places. I live near a small town, pop. 1500 in the winter, a bit bigger than yours. Lots more in the summer as it is a popular tourist destination.

making white chocolate chip pancakes this morning for my college age son. My youngest got hooked on chocolate chip pancakes on a trip to Disney World - where they make Micky Mouse shaped pancakes. I just use a regular pancake mix and add the chips to the batter -- the white chips were pretty good. Enjoy your day, Mary

Hi Sophia!
I found my chart (I had thrown it away) for the Einstein's Riddle. This is how I set it up: First time through the clues I got:
House1 House2 House3 House4 House5
Color blue
Person Norw
Drink milk
Smokes
Pet

It took me all day!

Sorry! That chart didn't come out the way I typed it! Houses and #'s across the top of the page.
Color, person, drink, smokes, pet down the side of the page. So 'blue' should be under House 2, across from Color. 'Norwegian' should be under House 1, across from Person, and 'Milk' should be under House 3, across from Drink.
Let me know if I can help you out

Hi, Sophia! I see I'm quite a bit late in visiting you to welcome you to Sudokuland! No doubt you have found much that you like, as you're still here!

Thank you so much for the birthday greetings. As always, birthdays here in Sudokuland last 2 days, so I really don't start celebrating until tomorrow, our Thanksgiving. Thanks for the kind greeting and warm thoughts. Have a great day, both today and tomorrow!

Hello Sophia - Thank you for stopping by and for your visit. I always enjoy company! Thank you, also, for the Thanksgiving wishes. We had such a nice pleasant day. The turkey was good! I am always relieved when it comes out tender and juicy! We live in the country on 10 acres. I really do enjoy the country. We bought our property about 34 years ago and it was REALLY country then! There have been a lot of homes built around us, but the township has done a great job trying to keep it country. Please stop by again sometime!

Hi Sophia, Sorry to be so slow to respond to your questions. (I didn't realize how long it's been since I checked my page.)

The view is probably the best feature. I'm on a private gravel road. Dusty in the summer. The homeowners are responsible for maintenance. I am about 12 miles outside of town. Our road is 1 1/2 miles long and has about 15 families. My elevation is about 1,000 feet. During the course of the winter, I get some snow. Usually not a lot and it seldom lasts a week. The road is steep enough that, with the location of my driveway, I have to use chains on a 4 x 4 pickup to get out.

The other evening I saw, for the first time, a light, in another house, across the valley. The house itself looks like a Monopoly house from my location. I can't think of anything anyone could build that would block my view...

The side hill is getting harder to negotiate, (arthritis) and I'm thinking of moving "off the hill" I have another piece of property that is basically flat (15 foot + -) with roam to roam. It has a paved, dead end road, that is county maintained. Being flat I won't have a view except for the trees. When traveling to / from however I can see Mt Rainier & Mt St Helens. Not quite the same, but...

G'day Sophia! I'm slowly catching up on Sudoku after our long trip to Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, & Cambodia. Thanks for leaving me a birthday greeting on my page on Dec. 4. My 62nd birthday was one of my most exciting ever! It began when we watched the sun rise at Angkor Wat in Cambodia - unforgettable! I have posted only one picture of our trip on my page so far, but I will try to whittle down the thousands of pictures we took to just our favorites & post them on Flickr as soon as I can find time. Meanwhile, Rob & I wish you & your family a very Merry Christmas and
