Hey Mama. Long time no talk. I'm still truckin along. Depression does indeed add weight, as you lead a more sedentary lifestyle and the only excersize you get is lifting your hand to your mouth. Good thing that I am active as ever! Hope all is well on your end. Things are coming to a head with the ''stuff'' for my kids and all should be over about mid August. Cross your fingers, spin in a circle, rub your lucky rabbit's foot, close your eyes and say a prayer for me, okay? My youngest is going in to some more specialists in the next 2 weeks also. He may need some different treatment and even a leg braced due to his cerebral palsy. Not what I wanted to hear, so like I said, keep me in your thoughts as I do to all my sudoku friends. I usually only have time to check the health and fitness page while I am on here. Hope to chat soon. -Ang-

Hey Mamacita - I just read mary's comment on Jane's page about you starting a book review page. I had asked gath, before we had the facility to do it ourselves, if we could have an 'Arts for Old Pharts' page which would incorporate books, theatre, concerts and all things artsy fartsy...obviously I haven't got around to it, but there does seem to be a need for that sort of forum. I don't want to step on your toes if you are going ahead with a book review page...just let me know your thoughts x

Plectranthus 'Mona Lavender' is a hybrid developed here at Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens that is becoming a hit around the world!

There are many Plectranthus species that are used as ornamental herbaceous plants for the garden, not only in South Africa, but all around the world. Most of these come from the more subtropical/tropical areas of southern Africa. They come in a number of shapes and colour forms ranging from white, through pink to dark mauves and lavenders. Being so easy to propagate from cuttings, they are readily shared amongst keen gardeners and are one of the few plants that grow well in shade.

Mamacita - A book page would be great! I used to read several books a week but I've been so busy the last couple of years with the tennis league I started that I haven't had time to read nearly as many books as I'd like. Perhaps a book page would goose me to get back into it! Maybe it could be kind of like a book club, where someone recommends a particular book and sets a date and time for everyone who reads it to get together in the chat room to discuss it. What are your thoughts on this?

Thanks for your post about the book club. I think the clip Billy started will do just fine for the time being. As you said, maybe later we could evolve into a real book club. I'm reading a very interesting book right now: Isabel Allende's 'Daughter of Fortune'. She also wrote 'House of the Spirits', a book I really identified with. It was about a Chilean family that could have been my husband's family - filled with absolute crazies!!!

Hi Mama, Thank you very much for the birthday wishes, I had a very nice day. Went to my favorite Mexican resturant, even had dessert 'flan' yum, yum.
Enjoyed your photo gallery, it is nice getting to meet your family, yes, that includes the dogs. Animals are very much apart of any family, we have no animals at the present have had dogs and cats but we are not at a place where we feel we could give them the time and attention an animal deserves.

Hi Mamacita! Very nice waterfall! Your learning new tricks continues! We had a very nice time in your state of PA. The wedding reception at Allenberry Resort was fun & delicious! They had a great buffet there which included their famous sticky buns! We also enjoyed some time in Gettysburg. We visited my aunt & uncle who will celebrate their 56th anniversary next month. I was a flower girl in their wedding when I was 4 years old! We toured the Gettysburg battlefield area & the Eisenhower home & farm. That is such a pretty area. I loved all the big trees & cornfields which we don't see here in FL!!
