Thanks for visiting! Pick a wild animal species and become its benefactor. I help turtles. Perhaps you might want to save Tassie Devils, or endangered Florida Panthers, or something small and not well known that only lives near you. We humans now impact every living thing... we have a moral obligation to be good stewards.

Hahaha! Love it, Jim. Have been a Giants fan for years (sorry - Willie Mays is the greatest player EVER!)...but the ownership has been more interested in having a "happening" at the ballpark rather than competitive baseball. So my husband and I finally looked for someone else to follow. Bought the MLB package and watch baseball every day. So fun to watch a brilliant team. Plus, really like Derek Jeter...a class act. But I do love the Cards, too. Do you go to see their Spring Training games? We've been to Scottsdale, Arizona for Spring Training in the Cactus League many times.

Jim - I feel lucky to live in such a beautiful state as W.A. and in particular the Albany area. I have now seen most of W.A. since I visited the Kimberleys and Broome late last year and there is so much beauty to be seen everywhere.

Hey, Jim! Just saw your note about the lighthouse. The Currituck lighthouse does look a lot like the Jupiter lighthouse! Maybe they were built by the same people! I thought I'd posted pictures of my June trip to Stuart/Jupiter but realize now I posted them to my Facebook page, not my Sudoku gallery. I do have a couple of pictures of the Jupiter lighthouse - taken from the patio of the "Square Grouper". You live in a lovely part of Florida, Jim! I'm hoping Jaime and I will soon own a vacation condo in Stuart, but no matter what, we will be getting back that way again and will look forward to getting together with you!

thanks Jim, I have often wondered if they would get round to using my name for a hurricane!! Well, maybe no hurricane, but a tropical storm will do nicely!

Jim, thanks for sharing your wonderful memories and photos of your beloved Linda. Makes you realize that you have to treasure the time you have with those around you.
I had a friend since childhood die of the same thing a few years ago. She somehow survived the initial episode - she was actually driving a car at the time, had surgery to repair the anurysm, but died about a month afterwards. The doctor also said that what caused it was probably there from birth.
But no matter the circumstances, it's still a shock and we'll always miss them. God be with you.

Dear Jim,
It's hard to believe another year has come and gone. I remember when I first joined the Sudoku gang in May of 2007, you mentioned that Linda had died just three years earlier. I am so sorry that time has not eased the sorrow. It is so evident that you miss her as much now as you did seven years ago. I guess all you can do is cherish the memories and be thankful for the time you had with her and for the son your love produced. I, too, am living in a sad time, but my dear husband is still with me - at least for another year. Perhaps more, but the prognosis is not too promising. Please know that I am thinking of you - as are all of your other Sudoku friends and acquaintances. We care. ♥Jane

Hi Jim,
I don't often check my page these days so i missed your post to me on Florida. Of course I've been and gone now. I didn't manage much in the way of sight-seeing, but I did get a few swims! Maybe one day we can meet up, but meanwhile, enjoy your contemplations.
