It was terribly sad to watch Mum pass away, but her health was leaving her quickly, so it was a blessing in the end.

Hello, Win, and thank you so much for dropping by with your birthday wishes. I hope your friend celebrated well. (I have a friend I've known since we were five years old, and we get together once a year for a long, reminiscing lunch--so nice to keep a piece of the past going, isn't it?)

This is just a note, win, to say how appalled I am at the sentence passed today on Aung San Suu Kyi. Most of the world is behind her morally if not physically, and behind the people of Myanmar, or as most of us still refer to your country Burma.
Eventually I hope that world opinion will bring about her freedom and the freedom from oppression of your country.
Meanwhile you are never far from my thoughts.

Nice to 'see' you on the easy page today, Win. My mom was thrilled to hear she was getting birthday greetings from all over the world! Especially from Myanmar. Said her brother was stationed there in WW II.

Hi Win, long time no see, hope you are well.
Just being stupid, took a dish out of the oven with mitts on put it down on the bench then picked it up without mitts how dumb can you get hehe! Burns are not too bad, stopped them pretty quick with ice packs, just very nasty blisters.
My health is finally improving after being miss diagnosed for a year and a half.
