Death By Chocolate

1 brownie mix, baked
3 chocolate mousse pie mixes, prepared
10 heath bars, crushed, ( I use the bagged heath toffee bits for baking)
1 8oz carton cool whip

Layer the following

crumble brownies
chocolate mousse pie mix
heath bar bits (use about 3/4 of the bits, save the rest to top the cool whip)
frost with cool whip and top off with the rest of the heath bits.

Optional: sprinkle with Kaluha or peppermint schnapps.

refridgerate overnight

Linda, I just printed a copy of this recipe. My husband LOVES heath bar. He has already asked when I am going to make it for him. Thanks for posting it.

You are quite right about the quantities needing cutting down for a small group! Death by Chocolate sounds good too....yum yum yum

Linda, I have made a variation of your "Death by Chocolate" recipe.
The difference is that I put it in a large clear glass trifle-like bowl (i.e. straight sides), split ALL of the ingredients in half and do each of the layers twice. Doing it that way makes it a very elegant looking dessert. It has turned into our traditional family Christmas dessert for about 20 years.

Hi Linda. Just popping in to check up on you. I enjoyed your Boo-Yah memories. We still made home brew in Northern Ontario as well, and I'm sure some our suppers were on the World Health checklist as poisonous (i.e.; We had a poker party, killed some lemon gin and a 24, went smelt fishing, pie-eyed, and it was so cold the smelts weren't running, so we piked up the dead ones on the river bank and cooked them up for supper. Only one fellow got sick.) Wish I could go to SF to meet up with you. Take care.

Hey, Linda - sorry to hear you're under the weather. I caught a cold on the flight back, but after spending two days in bed, I feel fine now. I never did get a sore throat - which is the worst part of a cold for me.

I am so glad I had an opportunity to meet you! It was so much fun hanging with you and Mama in SF. Hope your pictures at the jazz bar turned out. I thought I took a couple, but if I did, they disappeared when I downloaded.

True, personal, story about floors. We (I) decided to install new floors through the house (ceramic tile) Not only did I pick - against my husbands best advise - to save $ by buying the cheapest of what was on special; I picked white tiles for the kitchen. After many grueling hours of tile work, the first time I dropped a butter knife one of the kitchen tiles shattered. I learned my lesson and my hubby had his first opportunity in many years to tell me "I told you so".

Hi Linda, I looked for you on the TV this weekend, but I didn't see any smilie faces holding martini glasses. My kids are fans. My 2 girls are Jimmie Johnson fans and my son is a Junior fan. We are curious to know of your experiences. Did the race have a favorable outcome in your opinion?
