Bluey, thank you so much for celebrating my birthday with me last week, I had so much fun reading all the posts.
The family went out to dinner that night, then the next day we had yet another party for my youngest daughter's 16th. I then had the pleasure of a lunch on Sunday with some of our Sudoku family who spoiled me wonderfully.
It doesn't get much better than that!

Argh, I wish I'd known, you could have popped in. We love it here:) It is a very long time since I was last in Port Kembla, maybe 22 years... :)

I remember Murray and Nelle very well indeed. They were an impressive couple who had a soft spot for lonely ADCs. We would often be invited down to their cottage for a bit of home cooking and Murray used to play his favourite record - the male duet from the 'Pearl Fishers'. I remember their daughter Leonie - do you keep in contact with her? They had another daughter whose name I can no longer remember.

What a shame, but I still have fond memories of that era.
