Thanks Greg. I look forward to hearing your comments. I got the idea from Nal's photos and then had to see what programs I had and what they did. I am really rapt in how they came up.

Hey Greg...I was just getting some pics for Mamacita and saw your post and question on the Death Valley photos. (from 4 mo. ago) bad Dave, bad Dave.
Death Valley is a very interesting place. Only very little is below sea level and virtually nothing grows there. In 05 when we were last there, there had been a very heavy winter of rains in the desert and even the Valley floor was in bloom. Large fields of small yellow flowers. We got there after the main bloom but got to see quite a bit. The two pics on Flickr were in a canyon we were climbing through, probably about 1000-1500 foot (300-450M) elevation. One night we camped at about 4500 feet (1350M). We may get back this October with some friends who are going to be there.

and for the push. I really enjoyed your pictures - I'm a sucker for sunsets - just beautiful. The next town over has a waterfall - much much smaller scale that reminds me your your picture. I did find a small picture of a black horse but couldn't pass it on per instructions - I guess this will be one of my goals for the summer. Tomorrow should be a busy day for me - Naperville is having a sidewalk sale downtown and a fine arts faire is going on at Naper Settlement. This is a museum of sorts - set in the days when Joe Naper founded Naperville - around 1890's I believe. I enjoy the faire - alot of nice photos are there - I usually will get them in postcard size -- so I can enjoy them on my desk. I love nature shots - or pictures were there is a path leading somewhere. Well, I hope everyone is well and fine with you and yours - enjoy your weekend. Mary

Thank yo Greg for your sentiments. We tend to humanize our pets to the point that we grieve over their deaths as if they had been family members. I am one of those that humanize every animal I come in contact with - imagine how much I loved Rocko whom had taught himself to be a service dog!
I counted on him to let me know if Mother was restless whenever I was away from her room.

Hi Greg! Thanks for the note! No doubting you're Canadian and proud! I'm sorry I haven't dropped in before - I hardly get a chance to do the Sudokus these days (lunchtime at work) let alone stay as long as I'd like. I'm seriously thinking of going down to working four days a week instead of five. Whoever said it gets easier when your child starts school lied. Maybe for stay-at-home mums who suddenly find themselves with free time! I need to find a better work-life balance! At what stage in your life are you?

Hi Greg. Thanks for popping by. My husband made the fountain, and represents many of the things my kids play (we couldn't work out a way to put in the 'fool'). My 15 year old son helped, and on fine days can be found out beside it, with a novel, appearing very relaxed. We still haven't officially named it, but have considered 'The Orchestra Pit'. .
By the way, I love your polar bears. They are just so beautiful!

Hi, Greg! Thanks for visiting my page. I was just checking out your photos and while they are quite wonderful, I didn't see any pictures of you!!! Perhaps you're a member of the Mounties' Secret Service and can't reveal your visage! So I guess your avatar will have to do!

I'm leaving some freshly steamed crabs for you. The crabbing was quite amazing today - we caught 5 dozen in less than two hours!

I know! I keep telling him he needs a haircut. [biggrin}

I am, diligently, looking for another Rottweiler. Our next door neighbor asked us if we wanted a poodle - I'd rather have a rottie though.

Still miss him. Still cry for him. Still seeing him all around the house. I feel his spirit everywhere I go.

Hi Greg!
Long story: Years ago, during one of my many second childhoods, I had a lovely little car, a Toyota MR2. I named it 'Babybeast' because it was so little and was a beast to start and drive in the snow! When Babybeast finally went to MR2 heaven, I could not let the name die, so I now use it for email, web site ID's, etc. I would have used it here on this site, but I could not use so many letters, so it got shortened to Beast. So now you have it! My real name is Mary, but I love all beasts and critters, so Beast is sort of a part of me...

for the 'Double Fudge Chocolate Beaver Tail Pastry'. I'm sure that is not fattening. Have you posted the recipe? It looks absolutely yummy.

I sincerely hope it doesn't take ALL summer to build. I just have to figure out how to load my photos and get an avitar. The rest of this week time out while volunteering for all 5 concerts and company to boot. May have to go south for a few days next week before I next weekend.

The Utube was from a weekly TV show about 40 years ago. Don't know if you had 'laugh-in' up your way - but it was the ''in thing'' in the US.

again, I've enjoyed your site and choice of music. This place has a lot of friendly, bright & talented participants. I'm working up to being a Supporting Member.

Hi Greg, thanks for approving my pictures. I liked your comments! I should put an old Santa photo up that I have of my youngest sister (at that time) holding onto me & looking terrified. I still don't know if it was Santa or the photograhper that scared her which is why I made that comment on your Santa picture!

Onya Greg. (Oz for 'Good On Ya' or in other words an admirable/nice/thoughtful gesture on your part which must be acknowledged. Know what I mean?) Anyway - I can offer you in return a nice drop of Coonawarra Cab Sav and a slice of Pavlova, although probably best not to be taken at the same time as the pav is very sweet. Also goes straight to the hips.

C Greg, thanks for the visit to my page and taking a look at my quilts! I never think about how long a quilt will take, I just enjoy the process! The different steps involved are so different, designing the quilt, auditioning and choosing fabrics, cutting, sewing the blocks, sewing blocks together, choosing and adding the borders, well you get the idea. Do come back and visit me again, I hope soon to find and put up more photos of other quilts.

Thanks CG - Have been busy tidying up the place and havn't had much time on the site apart from a bit of lurking now and again. Havn't yet put the house on the market - expect to in about a month or so. It's still winter and cold - the garden should begin to grow soon and the house will look better. The garden is one of its good features.
