Thank you Greg...I love John Denver with Johnny Carson. I was able to see JD at Britt just before he crashed his plane into the Monterey Bay in Oct. of 1997. In fact, we put off a trip for two days so we could go see him. What a great show. He was working on some new songs and sang one of them. I'm not sure what ever happened to those things he was working on.

I don't know if you celebrate our thanksgiving being so close to the border, but I want to wish you and your family a Happy and Blessed Thanksgiving! Hope your day reminds you of all of the wonderful things we have for which to be thankful! (if not, apply this to your Thanksgiving day)

June 30th, 1972 - my husband and I were in Vegas - the Mills Brothers were playing in a Casino "Caberet/Bar" - 2 drink minimum for the set. They were the most lay back proffessional act I had ever seen (at that time). True class! We stayed for the 2nd set (pd another minimum - at that time drinks were cheap in Casino Bars).

Thanks for the memories.

Hi Greg, for the great welcome , firstly to quench your curiosity, Yzma is a character from an animated movie called 'The Emperor's New Groove' she's a bit nasty but you can't help but like her. Hope you had a happy thanksgiving, we don't celebrate that here. What a beautiful place you live in, I would like to visit Canada one day. Would you be able to send me some recipes for anything super sweet , my partner is a chef, so we like to try as much from other places as we can, so anything chocolate, pastries, sweet. . Yzma

Hi, sorry I'm not logged in. Just wanted to give you a big thanks for letting me know that my pic was on the parents page today. I'm surprised that I caught it as I'm still at the cabin hunting. Had a couple minutes and a spare laptop laying around. Didn't even check my email yet :) I nearly drooled over your comment about the snow. I counted about 7 snowflakes that day by us. Hope all is well on your end! Take care my virtual friend

Hey Greg!

Thanks for visiting my page. They blocked the site from my work computer, so I can't visit early during the day. And, by the time I finish with work I have the rest of my "work" to do!

I miss being here every day!

Hi CG, sorry for responding so late but things really got hectic for last couple of months. Got so involved in settling my younger daughter that I was in virtual spin and picture was quite hazy. It seems to be getting clearer now and hopefully she will be settled soon.
Nice to know that you have visited India and the photos vouch for that. thanx a lot for your double chocolate fudge beavertail pasrty. enjoyed it thoroughly. will keep in touch. bye and take care.

Hi Greg. Sorry I haven't been around for a while. I've just done the puzzles I haven't been able to get to since Friday & I noticed you asked for a story on Saturday so I thought I'd better give it to you now!
PP 24th Nov my daughter & my Dad. I think the jet is a Mirage (I said a Vulcan when the other one was on, but it’s too big & the cockpit’s different – Old Timer’s Memory!). Three of them visited Dubbo in 1976/77 when my Dad was CO. We happened to be visiting as well, although we weren’t there when they arrived or left. The airstrip was just long enough for them to take off. They had landed with all parachutes & it was close but safe! All the measurements etc had been well checked out well before the appointed day!
Since you like stories I'll give you the motor bike one as well! Sat 24th 4x4E Alpine Rally June 1974. Queen’s Birthday long weekend British Motorbike Club Alpine Rally. Brindabella is near Cooma & is in the snow country. There was no snow that weekend but it was very cold at night. The 2nd night we joined our friends in their tent after pulling it down, digging a hole, filling it with hot rocks from the fire then covering them with dirt & re-erecting the tent over them! We had all our clothes on & our coats etc were thrown over our sleeping bags as well. In the morning the inside of the tent roof was iced over & outside it looked like we’d had 6 inches of snow but it was only frost. By lunch time the ice had gone & most of the guys around had no shirts on because it felt like the middle of summer!
We’d been married 6mths by this time.
Our bike (we still have it) is a BSA Goldstar 500 single, which Paul had bought new (only NEW vehicle we’ve had!) the previous year. It was one of the last off the production line.
I think that's more than enough so I won't go into the Castrol 6 hour motor bike race! actually i always enjoy reading you're comments on the puzzles. you have a great sense of humour similar to my Paul's!

I have grave doubts that you were fortunate enough to see the PBS presentation of Paul Simon receiving the Gershwin Prize at the Library of Congress. If you are, and I am sure you are, a fan, seek it out if it is available in some other format. I have it saved on the DVR until we can figure out some way to transfer it off. Take a look at www.pbs.org/gershwinprize/. The only negative performance (opinion) in the entire show was at the end where Philip Glass played. Thank the producers it was at the end.

Hi, Greg! Regarding membership, I mentioned that I will probably become a full-fledged member one of these days - when I straighten out my hacked PayPal account. But here's something to think about. I know that Gath now does the Sudoku site full-time (at least I seem to recall reading that awhile back). Supporting members (about 220) would account for $6,600 (AU) income per year. If all the free members (about 820 of us) became supporting members, that would only add $24,600 to Gath's annual income, and he would lose his advertising income which I think is probably quite substantial. So I think he is counting on a large number of free memberships to help him make a decent living - which he certainly deserves for providing us with such a wonderful playground!!!
