Hello Elsie! Thank you for the Christmas greetings! My shopping is almost finished and most are wrapped. I started this summer so I am in good shape here! I tried to beat the bad weather. I hope you and your family have a wonderful Christmas also!

G'day Elsie, my beautiful Sagittarian friend. I'm slowly catching up on Sudoku after our long trip through Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, & Cambodia. I'm sorry I missed wishing you a happy birthday on Dec. 3 - hope you had a good one. I had a wonderful day on my birthday the 4th which began when we watched the sun rise at Angkor Wat in Cambodia - unforgettable! I have posted only one picture of our trip on my page so far, but I will try to whittle down the thousands of pictures we took to just our favorites & post them on Flickr as soon as I can find time. Meanwhile, Rob & I would like to wish you & your family a very Merry Christmas & Happy New Year. I took a look at your latest photos - gosh, your daughter is beautiful. It's hard for me to believe that my oldest daughter will turn 40 on the 15th! Yikes, how can I be old enough to have a 40 year old daughter!!! The years fly by so fast. My oldest GRANDdaughter just turned 12. Life is good. I feel like a very lucky person. Take care of yourself & your wonderful family & stay healthy & happy.

Hi there Elsie,

Wishing you and your loved ones a wonderful Christmas this year

I guess that while we swelter in Darwin you will probably be feeling the heat also. Whatever and where ever, may it be a lovely celebration for you.

Here’s the traditional

LEMON CORDIAL
Ingredients:
Juice of 7 large lemons
Grated rind of 5 large lemons
1 kg sugar
1.25 litres of water
25g citric acid
Method:
1.In a large pan, boil up sugar, water, grated peel and citric acid.
2.Take off and add juice, If preferred, this may be strained.
3.Bottle whilst still hot into clean, sterilised (in oven) bottles

Mix it with gin and soda if you want an alcoholic drink.

May 2009 be a healthy, peaceful, joyful, hopeful, satisfying year for you

Hi Elsie, Thanks for dropping by and wishing me a merry Christmas . It has been a wonderful day. Starting with church this morning, then present opening. Dinner started at about 1pm with prawns and starters. We ate so much that we didnt start main course until about 4pm. Then we all went in different directions for a sleep and met up for pudding about 8[m - an all day affair. Having a 5 year old with us for Christmas added a bit of something special too. She helped to make a fresh floral Christmas wreath, and we decorated to make it a bit special etc.

If you were off to the beach, I bet you had a great time too.

Certainly hope so.

I'm heading south at New Year so May 2009 bring you health hope, joy, peace, love, goodwill -all the gifts of Christmas

Hi Elsie! Thanks for the information on Disseminated intravascular coagulation that does (in my non-medical opinion) sound like what happened to her. It also sounds as if it is truly a miracle she survived. Latest report is that she is coming off dialysis tomorow, still needs a feeding tube, is getting out of bed (with assistance). Can speak, but half of her words are garbled. She spoke well enough to request a specific brand and flavor of ice cream. Thank you for you prayers!

Hi Elsie...so good to have you drop by.
I am also sorry that I missed out on meeting you when you over in December. Next time time you come over WILL meet...and if I ever get over your way I will certainly give you a ring. [of course I will need your number but I am sure we can manage that LOL...]
There was a photo on one of the puzzles the other and I said to hubby that I thought it looked like Elsie from Strath...and he said who?, where?...my reply ...not sure...haven't met her yet...he thought me VERY strange!!! But we will fix that!! Meeting you that is...I don't mind being strange!

Have just realised that you aren't on my friends list...no wonder I never catch up with you on site!

Elsie - we melted (and flavored) white and milk chocolate candy melts in squeeze bottles (made for candy making) then filled molds and popped the molds in the freezer for a few minutes until set. Also made nougat centers and dipped them. And "turtles" - press caramel cubes into a flat rounds, top with pecan halves, and drizzle with melted milk chocolate. Finally, used homemade fondant in many colors (we call it "edible play dough") and cookie cutters to decorate the birthday cake.

Gday mate, just saw your question on last night's easy, so thought I'd pop over and answer it.
I am coming over to help my Dad pack Mum's clothes and stuff. I have inherited her bedroom suite, which was mine before I moved out of home, and her china display cabinet that I have loved for millenia! They are being picked up on Friday by the removalists, and I will spend the weekend with Dad, he's been pretty lonely and so worried about us over here with the fires etc that I think he will really appreciate the time with me.
Shame we can't catch up, I really don't think I would have the time anyway. Will be back over in early April for his 80th, maybe we can get together then?

Thanks for your kind words Elsie. It has been a hectic couple of months and I would love to be able to sit with you sometime and have a good old chinwag. I sure do still have your number, and if I get some spare time, or come over again, I will give you a buzz.
I plan on making the trip over every couple of months or so, I will make sure to contact you and make an arrangement. I often visit friends up Mylor way, so it will only be a hop, skip and a jump to come over your way.
Keep in touch xoxo

Hi Elsie, I'm sorry to say that our short visit to Adelaide in this Saturday (28th). We catch the Sunday Ghan for Darwin.
It's ironical that you are visiting Sydney at the same time as we are visiting Adelaide. But never mind, I'm sure there will be other opportunities.
