Hope you had a smashing Australian Day! Sorry I wasn't on site to wish all the Aussies a happy holiday, but I have been totally engrossed with the Australian Open on TV. Life should return to normal this coming week!

I am in the process of putting together (for my own pleasure and for anyone who cares to download a copy when it's done) a cookbook of all the Sukudo recipes, and I have a question about one that MizT posted. She said she got it from you, so I am hoping you can help me out! The recipe was for your yummy-sounding Steak and Pineapple Casserole. One of the ingredients you list is "pkt French onion soup". Do you know if this is similar to Lipton's Onion Soup and Dip Mix that comes in a powder form?

Hi Rolanda, Just arrived back from Perth last week. Unfortunately I got laryngitis & brought the dreaded flu home with me & so had to have another 3 days off work, still coughing & not fully recovered. It was great to catch up with you & Peter & the others while we were over there, it so much better to be able to put a face to a name. Tony & I had a really good relaxing holiday & travelled all over the SW coast. We loved WA & could quite happily live over there. Happy anniversary for the other day.

Went to d2s swimming carnival today and saw her come 3rd in her freestyle heat and 2nd in her backstroke heat! Woo hoo! Now I just have to hope her times aren't good enough to qualify for area as I would have to take her!!

Just dropping by for a cuppa. I'm envious of your haircut. I will have to get organised and get mine cut soon. I look like a ball of fluff at the moment! The last time I tried was a couple of weeks after my surgery and I hurt myself the day before and couldn't go!! That was about 9 weeks ago.

Hello Rolanda - a very belated visit as I've been busy with family staying, as you know.
Thank you for your earlier wishes and your lovely comments about my sunrise photo.
Hope all is well your way as I haven't seen you on the site lately as much as you used to be, although I don't get on here as much either.

Hi Rolanda! We're doing an English farmhouse kitchen--ivory Shaker cupboards, huge wooden knobs, butcher-block island, terra cotta on the floors, wide bead-board backsplash, soapstone countertops. Hopefully it will all come together the way I've envisioned it. We've got a separate cooktop, with the oven on the island, and a farmhouse (apron front) sink with the faucet coming out of the wall (no more banging my knuckles trying to clean around behind the sink). And until it's done, we're in a state of "organized upheaval"--let the adventure begin! Have a great day, Rolanda!

Rolanda, We don't organise these gatherings very well do we? I'll get you to check you diary before I book the next one!

It looks like it is going to be a fun lunch - it would have been better if you could have come though. All of this has come about because I'm going on holidays. It doesn't take much to get a bunch of women together for a lunch at the beach - I'm suprised by how many are taking the day off work to come.

Hi Rolanda, It is a nice looking van, very similar to our last van - annex and all. We will lose a little bit of flexibility when we are touring because we can't just unhitch and turn into tourists. Our problem with the old van was that we both became ill and were unable to hitch it up - so we sold it. But now we are both well again and there is nothing to hitch up - just close the doors and drive off.

Of course, you will be on our list of people to visit when we do eventually get to the Perth end of the highway, but as I just said to Anne, we will give you plenty of warning.

BTW, are you and Gail/Cockatoo related or is it just a bit of fun?
