Welcome to my page.  NJ is home to the NJ Devils, a professional

hockey team named after a phantom ghostly creature frequently seen

in the NJ "pine barrens" more than 100 years ago.

NJ is also known as the Garden State - I think there is one left!

Hello Joe - reading your comment above let me be the first to you to your own page. You'll probably not get back in here to notice the comment but if you do, here's some to brighten the place up a bit and a six pack of Aussie beer for you to enjoy.
Cheers

Hi Joe! Seems like this is a belated welcome to your page, but a warm welcome regardless! I have a tradition of leaving a double chocolate fudge beavertail pastry from Ottawa as a page warming gift, so enjoy! A bonus because I'm late in visiting... a wee bottle of Canadian Crown Royal Whiskey. Cheers!

Hello Joe; glad you found your page and now the rest of us can visit. I'm sure we'll all visit again when you get chance to fully move in. I've brought you a Key lime pie and a bottle of Bailey's Irish Cream for your coffee or not.
If you don't mind I'm going to sneak a little piece of the pastry--despite the name, I've grown rather fond of it. Congrats on your page and Welcome.

Joe to the family! Left a bottle of California wine and a box of Belgium chocolates - Leonidas of course! Watch out for the liquor filled ones though, just don't breathe while eating one and especially near a fire!

Hello Joe - thanks for visiting my page and once again for that advice about the mouse. I should have taken your advice the last time you told me. It's good most of the time, but sometimes I have clicked on a new number, or so I think I have, and when I look back, I'm still filling in the previous number so have lots of double ups. Most annoying when I think my time is quick!

So that is New Jersey, is it Joe? I was just about to ask what your avatar was and then I read your comment. Will Google you to find out exacly where it is. I am learning so much about American state placements thanks to this site! Hubby already knows where the states are because he plays Railway Tychoon. Ahh, computer games, is there nothing they can't teach us?!
Have brought you a bottle of bubbly, a plate of nibblies and an invitation to drop into my page anytime. Find a park bench in the garden, take a look around and meet the family. Look forward to seeing you there.

hi Joe,
it looks like i haven't properly welcomed you even tho you've had your own page since June! i must be slipping! WELCOME WELCOME WELCOME. here's some fresh shrimp and blue crabs from the Gulf, some mudbugs and some Louisiana hot sauce to spice things up a bit. hope you have fun on this site!
i just saw your post on yesterday's Tough. the piccy is a repeat of mine, as i posted - the sign just says the name of the reservoir, Nic-a-Jack Reservoir. they didn't say anything about trespassers or swimming or anything else. we stopped at a rest stop along the interstate to walk awhile. with that great scenery it was hard to leave and finish driving. i think this is the northern part of GA, but not sure since it's been almost 2 years since i was there.

Joe, Actually I returned items today due to my one son not fitting into jeans that needed to be ordered from the catalog - a 30/32 size jean just isn't found on the shelves - but did happen to find 31/32 jeans at Steve and Barrys - where everything is around 9.99 or so - so my younger son got 3 pairs of jeans and still under the amount of the 1 pair I returned. My other item was for my older son who just didn't care for my taste in shirts - He's home from College. I also needed to go back to Bed and Bath to get the rebate coupon for the roaster that I didn't get at time of buying the huge thing - the seller told me the rebate was in the box - I should of known better... I worked on Friday - went out to dinner - with a coupon to a nice place and got the jeans cheap - so I guess. I made out well -- now for the actual Christmas shopping..... Take care and enjoy your day - taking down the fall items now..

Hello Joe - it was nice to see you posting a comment today on easy. I don't notice you very often so if you do post regularly, my apologies.
Just thought I'd drop in as you don't seem to have many visitors.
If you have time, check out my new photos in My Gallery on my page; there's some from my recent stay in New Zealand and some from around this area.

HI JOE, I notieced you for the first time today also, and your post on EASY. I try to visit pages of new members, but sometimes a name does not stay in the Welcome New member spot long, if someone joins soon after you! sometimes I miss them, sorry to have missed you.

My daughter lived in NJ for a while, I flew in to visit and I found NJ very green from the air! So something is growing up there, if not gardens.

I hope you will continue to post on the board, and that you are enjoying your visits to Sudokuland.

A belated welcome to you.

Hey Joe -
I always enjoy your sense of humor - hope everybody else"gets it" o.k!
How is the weather up there? We have ice again - I have done all the little things one must do in anticipation of a power loss, but sure wish it would go away! My poor dog, Sandy, is very old, and she asked to go out on the deck twice so far, and it fills me with anxiety when I see her feet slipping! I discovered yesterday that I made a grievous error when I made my scruffy front yard a stone patio - it now makes a fab skating rink! I traversed it o.k. yesterday to take Sandy for a walk around my driveway circle (graveled), but had to step over my low stone wall and approach the front door at an angle on the grass, sliding about for only the last three feet when I got near the porch! I've fallen once this season (an incredibly graceful collapse - or so I like to think, glad I live alone and no one can argue this point) much to the amazement of Sandy, and don't care to reenact the pirouette if I can help it! The first ice storm was gorgeous, took a number of photos of my fairyland world, this one is all gray and brown and ugly, a frosty skim of ice on the ground. This is why I have been loving the photos of sunny places on the site!

Now, now, Joe - remember what Gath quotes: As Sir Paul McCartney said: 'I used to think anyone doing anything weird was weird. Now I know that it is the people that call others weird that are weird'. I know many folks that I am strange, always have for some reason, but I no longer care - being 65
is very freeing! The most I know about electrical engineering is doing surveys for transmission lines and electrical substations (my husband and I had our own archeological consulting business and did the archeological surveys that were part of environmental impact concerns)! After Bill's death I eventually sold the business (having 25 youngsters dependent on me for their livlihood was scarey), and now do only volunteer types of work (although I did just finish five years of teaching in Italy in the summers - fresco preservation classes and archeology classes). While I use computers extensively, I believe they are basically malevolent, waiting for those magic moments when they can outsmart me and drive me bonkers (a frequent occurrence since beginning to use Adobe Photoshop, a particularly evil program).

Frozen mush is beat by a thin slick coating! As the light comes up I can see the white overtones to the dark glaze ice - a poetic way of saying (edited) ice! I need to refill bird feeders and such, and dread going out there - thank heavens I hung most of them under an overhang that covers a small portion of my deck! Then I must needs replace the gasket on my wood stove should the electricity go out.

Looking forward to more interesting comments!
- Joan

Thank you for your suggestions, but she was appalled to find I hadn't downloaded the latest Explorer. I still was working with number 3. It made downloading security interesting. When she came I was purging my computer of the newest downloads.
