Hi Nal, Just enjoying the 'wicked' Wilson Pickett, and your lovely picture of course. Hope you and Nitro have had an opportunity to start going into the wilds again( the great Everglades)and taking more wonderful pictures....is he quiet? Does he become spoofed with the other animals? or is it too early to tell until after training? Please visit when able...I know how little time you have free. Hope your mom is well, and of course the rest of the family...Any wedding plans yet? Oh, I'm so full of questions...I'm sorry. Rest easy my friend.

Hi Nal. I have just been reading that you have a wedding coming up soon. I am not sure who it is for but I hope all goes well and you have a great day. I am so happy to hear that you have a new dog and that he is bringing so much joy into your life. I have been busy with my flickr photos lately..as you probably already know. I have just got photoshop and have managed to do a couple of basic things with it, though I haven't had as much time as I would have liked to spend learning it. I have had hubby home from work for two weeks as things were quiet at work and so he took a break to help out. I also have had my nephew in hospital with pleurisy over the last week. On top of that it is my birthday tomorrow. I think I might have to stop counting now. I love all the new photos you have been doing. Would like to see a few more of Nitro though. I have taken your advice and carry the camera everywhere now.

Thanks Nal for hubby's birthday wishes. He got a real kick out of receiving so many from all over the world. We had a great day together and a lovely lunch at a little cafe. Wouldn't it be nice to be able to do that more often.

Hi, Nal! Your photos are amazing. You make it look easy, yet I'm sure there are untold hours waiting for the perfect shot, the perfect lighting, moving until you can see each subject from the perfect angle, choosing the perfect presentation. Your photos are awe-inspiring and the captions you choose for them always seem so perfect! THANK YOU!

Hi Nal and thanks for the comments and the great poem, never read or heard that poem, it was wonderful. Keno was the greatest, smartest dog that I or my wife Claudia have ever had the privlidge to have been a part of our family, she will be missed but we choose to remember all the good times with her.

We will still miss her but most of all enjoy the memories that we shared with her.

Thanks again for your comments and beautiful poem.

Hi, Nal! At first I thought this COULDN'T be your page. I could only see the top inch or so of the photograph, and it was certainly not in focus. When I scrolled down, however, it became evident that the photo was, indeed, one of yours - just a great example of depth of field. I've never seen one of your photographs that I didn't like. Thank you for brightening our pages!

for your message of cheer Nal. The Sudokuists have been just amazing today and have really lifted my spirits.
Something has lifted them more though - I have been looking at some of your photos and I am just overwhelmed!. They are very, very good. More than good, they are perfect. My dear hubby was a environmentalist by profession and was as passionate about wildlife as you seem to be. I wish he had seen some of your photos. Thanks for sharing them.

Nal, your prayers are really appreciated during this very dark time. We've had health scares with Mom before, and she's been at death's door, but now a host of problems are presenting themselves--bad heart, bleeding from the bowel--and naturally she's not a suitable candidate for treatment. I had a good visit with her yesterday--gave her copies of her grandson's recent wedding pictures, several of which have her doing a lively jive with my husband--and she got a kick out of that. Also told her I took Communion at St. Peter's Basilica on our trip, so she was glad to hear that too. Massaged her hands and feet while she went on about the pepper plants in her garden, then I drove home (an hour away) and cried all along the highway. I hated leaving her there; unable to bear it, I'm going back today. Meanwhile, bless you for caring.

Nal, when I see my mother tomorrow, I'll be sure to pass on your message that you're lighting a candle to St. Jude and praying for her. It's messages and kind words like that which cheer her. Her spirits are good and she's talking up a storm; it's amazing the punishment her little 103-pound body has endured these past few years. Her recovery from near-death three years ago shows us what miracles are all about; we're not certain we'll be granted another one and yet we continue to ask just the same. Bless you for your kindness and I'm sending a big hug to your beloved pets.

Hi, Nal! I was computer-less for about a week and just returned to visit your photostream. The sunset (and its title) is (are) STUPENDOUS! Every visit to your page is a joy! And I'm so excited for you that you spotted the panther! Next time you'll get your shot. I'll keep watching for it, but enjoying every other of your photos that I see in the meantime!

Welcome back, Nal. I did give Mom the message that my friend from Miami was lighting a candle to St. Jude and that did so much to cheer her. She's touched that so many from so far away care. Now I can tell her that you've indeed followed through and she'll be so pleased. Her speech continues to improve and she's determined to proceed with vigourous therapy. Bless you for thinking of us. Have a splendid day, Nal.

I'll take him in nal! He sounds adorable. You must be a dog whisperer for him to react as strongly toward you as he did. Are you able to get an update from the shelter? I would love to know where he goes.

Hi Nal - we had a Houdini Dog. A medium sized terrier something (bearded coliie was suggested) who could leap 6' fences quite easily. Mr P extended the fence up by putting up posts with 3 rows of wire that made it 7' in all, dog (Sunny) would leap up to the top rail then wiggle his way between the wires. Mr P put vertical wires weaving through the horizontals to make them more solid - dog jumped over them too! Our final step was to buy an electric fence wire like those used on farms or in zoos - it became the top wire of the fence. Poor Sunny got zapped a few times in the first few days, but then didn't jump the fence any more. (It stopped the visits by the neighbourhood cats at night too!). We were able to take away the zapping gizmo, and just leave the wire, he still didn't jump the fence anymore.
When we went to Hawaii, he was adopted by a workmate, and the escaping began all over again. BUt... she borrowed the fence for a week, and he again stopped escaping after a day.
Drastic, but they learn very quickly. Keep it up your sleeve as a last resort. It's good that he comes to you, though, the problem with Sunny was that he'd stop, look at you, laugh (I'm sure of it) and run away further!! I miss him still.

Nal, thank you for your kind words. I know it may sound very strange, but as I sat on the floor, holding Nik's head in my lap as she passed I had a picture in my head of Rocko waiting to show her around the other side of Rainbow Bridge.

Good maEn Nal! Just dropping by to share this rhubarb & ginger crumble. Ginger has good healing properties - hope you enjoy. Miss you on the site - must be busy capturing those wonderful images! Thank you for bringing awareness to our attention, so true. The first clinic I attended was "cbc" - combined chest & breast, and I was quite amazed by the number of men there - I thought they were accompanying their mate until it gradually dawned on me. Given the all clear a few years ago, but it has appeared in my bowel now. At least it's working its way out of the system! Take good care now. Give Nitro a big hug for me. He's not old enough for marrrow bones yet is he? Miss my Nero (a black labrador 40 years ago) at certain times. He knew how to hug me right!
