Hugs, Mo. I can't begin to tell you how much my heart aches for you. I have lost 2 kitties since I moved to the mountains. Disappeared. I hated not knowing what happened to them and searched for weeks.
I keep you and Sammie in my prayers - hoping for his safe return.

Mo, I'm sorry to hear about Sammi, but I always try to see the glass half full. That rascal was so attractive that I would like to believe someone visiting in the area scooped him up and took him home as an extra Christmas present for their kids. Maybe he'll resurface yet when they end up taking him to a vet.

Mo, I am so sorry about Sammi. Like you, I can only hope that he is with another loving family who are feeding him up a treat.

G-mo, many years back, I had a lovely ladycat named taffeta, who was being picked on savagely by my other cats. She really needed a good one-cat family. I thought my back-fence neighbors would be a perfect home for her, so I talked to them about giving them a kitty, and she said no, her husband didn't like cats. Shortly after that, taffy ran away, came home for a day, ran away again. Each time she would stay away longer, finally a year and she didn't come home.
She was, however, fine. She had adopted my back-fence neighbors, and the husband loved her.
(didn't hurt that she was already neutered)
Sometimes fate steps in.

Mo, my heart just aches for you; I know exactly what you're going through, having had our 13-year-old lovable cat Watson disappear several years ago. He was such a warm part of our family and we looked for him for six months, wandering streets at night, rattling a bag of dry food. We visited our humane society every second day, hoping someone would turn him in, and put fliers in mailboxes within ten blocks of our house. He was always the kitty we counted on to curl up in our laps and we still miss him. I know you're doing everything you can to get your dear Sammi home, and I really hope you feel your beloved companion's soft fur beneath your fingertips soon. Take care and know that I'm thinking of you.
