Sorry you were alone so much on the site today! Everyone must have had a day like mine! I finally got a minute to take a Sudoku break at 11:50 PM (our time). Started my day by going to church, went out to breakfast with friends after, did some Christmas shopping, took gifts to friends in a nursing home in city next to ours, next sang Christmas carols at a retirement home in our town, wrote all of our Christmas cards in one day (over 60 of 'em), and finally went out for supper -(Thank goodness for that!) There is something to be said about NOT leaving everything to the last minute!!! Then watched a movie on TV that I had missed seeing in the theatre. Now I am going to crash!

Hi Kate and Leia, Laura is at home and probably still asleep. She was very excited last night. They will be here about 10.30 and we will contact my son and family in Melbourne on Skype and then to Ken's sisters place at East Ryde for lunch.

Hi, Kate! Just wanted you to know that Jasper is working out extremely well - still has some serious issues (like nail cutting), still occasionally goes peepee when he gets excited, but he is doing well in obedience training and is very good around the house (except for occasional chewing - I still "child proof" my house, trying to remember to put things high up). During this nasty winter in which I have frequently been incarcerated inside my home by over three feet of snow, plus ice, he has controlled himself admirably, even with his high energy! He has become a good friend. I still occasionally "see" Sandy lying in front of the pellet stove, or putting her head on the side of my bed to wake me up in the a.m., and I miss her, but Jasper is so different that I can love him wholeheartedly for who he is and still think fondly of my big yellow dog, my companion in the past.

G'day Kate. Well, let's see... how do I explain my comment? When I first read your caption for the picture I thought it was from June From Epping NSW. Then I realized that 'No, that's June 2009.' So then, my weird thought processes came up with the idea of trying to be funny in my comment. It obviously didn't work.
