You just posted a comment about being done with learning. My aunt once sent me a note that tickled my funny bone on this topic.
She was working at a bank and as a long-time employee she was required to take some classes.
She wrote to me something like this: Well, I've taken ______ and _______. Now all I have to do is take "Lifelong Learning" and then I'll be done.(!)

Hi Danstell, thanks for visiting. I used to do Encaustic Painting, Candle making and some fabric painting, but since we decided to buy the house we are after everything got packed away to await the move. 5 months later we are stil waiting. Even my photography seems to be on a side burner for the moment.

Hi Danstell. Thank you for visiting, and for the comments on the pictures. The Chinese Lantern festival covers Ontario Place from July until Thanksgiving weekend. It's been here for at least the past 3 years, so it seems that it's an annual thing now. LOTS of lanterns, very impressive.

You may want to look at some quilting books by Eleanor Burns in her "Quilt in a Day" series, too. She has streamlined techniques that make projects go faster and yet are quite beautiful. I can just see tulip fabrics partnered with yellow prints in the Log Cabin or lovely tulip colors in Double Pinwheels or in Jewel Box.
I recently made a gift quilt (no photo, though) by using the Log Cabin in varying colors of green as a background and machine appliqued around the border jungle animals I'd cut from other fabrics. You could do something similar with the tulips. Good Luck

Hi Danstell, Glad you have returned safely home.
I see you are a Brissie girl now - Northside? Southside? or Bayside?.
I live north at Ferny Hills but now work south at Sherwood. Used to work in south Brisbane before the great move in August.
Great photos you have there.

Hi Danstell - thanks for posting the kangaroo sculptures, they look like fun. I must come to Brisbane one day and have a look at them myself. It is lovely and convenient to have armchair travel of course so thanks again. By the way I have posted another couple of plant photos if you were interested.

Hi Danstell, yes the BBQ at Broni's was fun, it's nice to catch up with people and also meet new friends. The wedding plans are almost finished just some odds and ends to tie up. Now we just hope for a fine sunny day as a ceremony in the park on a rainy day doesn't have much appeal.

Hello Danstell, I am encouraged to see that the Breast Cancer walk spans countries! My daugthers and I have been participating in the walk for years since my mother was diagnosed. She is one of the lucky ones and has been cancer free for years. We all know other ones who have not been as fortunate. This is a terrible, terrible disease and we all need to do whatever possible to help stamp it out of existance!
Take care,
Aimee :-)

Hi Danstell, Thankyou for the answer to the riddle it was right. Thankyou also for the visit to my place and the nice comments on my photos, the flowers, the house and above all my family. I went to see your gallery and was sourprised for the pictures. There is an heliconia which is very nice. This type of heliconias are called Psitacorum and the one in your photo could be the "red torch". They make very good plants for landscaping because the flowers have very long plant life. Unfortunatelly heliconias do not have very good aroma as some Orchids do.
Keep in touch.

I have found that it is the day you open the sudoku puzzle webpage, it is on that pwebpage the comment posts onto. You may have opened the Easy page for October 23rd just before midnight, and though you sent your posting after midnight and therefore October 24, It would still post on Oct 23. You can go far back into the archives and post there, as well.

Hi Danstell. What a clever lady you are to be be able to make such a bag. I wish I was a crafty person, but those things are way beyond me. You'll have to post some photos of your completed project.

Hi Danstell, thanks for the bubbly, just what I needed! Wasn't the weather perfect for the wedding? couldn't ask for better and the river cruise was lovely. It was great to have all my sisters and brother here too, we rarely get to be in the same place at the same time these days.
