Hi Mary I have now put some names to the photo but wanted to make sure none of the others minded having the photo posted. Present were Kate from Lane Cove who organised the meeting, Ian, CP from Canberra, Bluey, Sharon and myself. Others were family members of the above. I am sorry I did not take a photo overlooking Bronte beach as it was a lovely day with lots of people about.

Thanks Mary for your kind thoughts on the death of my husband, Geoff. Our Sudoku family is a great one to have at any time and its a family of choice. I'm honoured to be a member, to have so many friends across the world who can share in our good times, have a laugh with us and also be there for us when we need guidance, comfort or strength when times are tough. Thank you for being a part of that family. Lynne

Thanks for the great welcome. It will take a while to work out how to pretty my page. It would be nice to be WA. We had a hot one on Sunday 33 and then Monday, Tuesday back to Electric Blanket.

Hello there Mary, It was so nice of you to take the time to send me a message about Liz and her new cochlear implant. All is going very well. It's early days yet and her poor head throbs sometimes with all this extra noise going on, and there is a lot of training she has to undertake so she can learn how to interpret the sounds. But she will get there, a quiet achiever is Elizabeth. Thanks again. Kate (Tree Sheila)

Hello Mary - thanks for the visit to my page. Greg told me he had posted a comment about my photos on easy and I hadn't realised that there were comments on my page because I must have accidently turned my e'mail notification off.
It's a long way for us to go for a coffee on your next visit so we'll have to see what we can arrange!

Hello Mary - SNOW! what snow? It was damn well cold enough to snow and I got caught in a hail storm walking on Middleton Beach on Saturday afternoon, but I didn't see any snow. We are too close to the coast for it to actually snow in Albany, so I believe.

Hi Mary, Good to find someone else who loves cryptics. They are the only puzzles that can take me away from Sudoku! Let me know if you ever find any free download Cryptics. I have been searching but no luck so far. If you can ever get a copy of the Brisbane Courier Mail (Saturday Edition only), have a try at the Southern Cross cryptic. She (Southern Cross) also sets cryptics as Auster for the Guardian in UK. Where in WA is Bibra Lake? One day I'll get to WA. Altough I've been to Europe and Asia, I've never been past the Eastern states in Oz. Not good because I want to go. Cost of airfares usually. Often cheaper to fly overseas. Sorry I rabbited on a bit.

No probs, Mary! I was ordained in Dharamsala in HHDL's private gompa... along with 200+ others, but I was the only western nun! He says he is just an ordinary monk. If so, am a very, very, very ordinary nun.

MARY, where does one buy a "commercial Christmas Pudding" ? Not something I see on my grocers shelves. And just what is a Christmas Pudding anyway? Otherwise, your recipe sounds interesting.

OH, how did the sweet potato casserole go with your family? I forgot to say, that topping is just a thin sprinkle over top, to make a thin crust when cooked and cooled.

MARY, you are correct, New Orleans is a lot closer to me than to you! I have not visited New Orleans in ages and ages, so do not know if white chocolate bread pudding is a tradition there or not. So, I did a web search and found this:

White Chocolate Bread Pudding

The Palace Cafe, located on New Orleans' Canal Street in the old Werlein's Building, is the newest restaurant from the Brennan family, who also operate some of the City's finest restaurants: Commander's Palace, Mr. B's Bistro and Bacco. This dessert has become extremely popular, and has practically become The Palace Cafe's signature dessert.

So maybe it is a new tradition in New Orleans!!

Other traditional New Orleans deserts would be anything with pecans, Like pecan pie or praline ice cream, and the sweet potato pie is definetely Southern cooking.

The white chocolate bread pudding does sound good. do you want the recipe??

Mary - I'm glad you liked the recipe. It's been a favorite of mine for ages. Even Rayray raved about it last week! I have another chicken recipe that I plan to post soon that's really different. It has lots of cinnamon!

Hi Debby, sorry for responding so late but things really got hectic for last couple of months. Got so involved in settling my younger daughter that I was in virtual spin and picture was quite hazy. It seems to be getting clearer now and hopefully she will be settled soon.
Peace and happiness is a state of mind and if we accept HIS ORDER it follows. Will be around. bye and take care.

Gday Mary, just passing, thought I'd drop in. I see you Perthites are at it again! I think you must be the friendliest bunch of sudokuists around. I am looking forward to the Melbourne Chrissy get-together, maybe it might kick start me into the festive spirit. At the mo, I'm just a bit ho hum rather than ho ho!
We had a bit of good news today though, my son and his girlfriend are moving to this side of town where they will be closer to their work. Instead of being an hour away, they will only be twenty minutes away from us and in the same town as their work, so it's a win-win situation.
If I don't catch up with you soon, have a
very Merry Christmas
and a

Gail
