Hi, Mary! Yes most of them but in really little portions! Some I can't stand and nothing is going to make me eat them! Konyaku is one of them. I remember when I was a child my mother would include them in dinners. I'd sneak them into a napkin and when I went outside, I yelled, "Worms, worms!" and my pet chickens (2 roosters and 2 hens) would gobble them up!!

Mary, good of you to visit my page. not exactually fabulous, but I am doing tolerably well hehehe.
Poor Boy Sandwiches seem to have originated in New Oleans, and usually started with a french bread baguette as the bread. then fried seafood, lettuce, tomato, pickles, onion, mayonase were all piled high.
So, it is a sort of sub sandwich with all the trimmings, and usually has a LOT of whatever meat. this little shop offers all thier fish and seafood grilled or fried, so we have grilled. The roll is about 9 inches long and about 3 inches wide and had a huge serving of grilled grouper. I have to be really hungry to eat one!

Mary I don't think people really care who the quotes are attributed to, politicians have usually been fair game. I have to admit I didn't inquire, just took it at face value. Having looked him up now that you mentioned him, I don't think he is likey to have uttered those words. Interestin man.

Hey Mary, thanks for the msg...
the set books for the uint are Disgrace by JM Coetzee - reading it as we speak, Careless by Deborah Robertson (she was my tutor from the creative writing units i did a few yrs back) and Shorts by Caryl Churchill. Films to watch are Crash, Babel,Munich, Syriana, united 93, The Wind that Shakes the Barley, TheRoad to Guantanamo and The Truce. I've seen some of them, but all in all quite an interesting line-up of course material and i've got bec as my study buddy as she thought she'd get an easy ride doing the same unit as her mum - yeah right!!
Take care. x

Hi Mary, we have a lot of maple trees in Canada and many farms have a house where they boil the sap to make it into syrup or maple sugar, they call it Cabane à Sucre or Sugar Shack, it is like a restaurant where you can go and eat a meal made with maple syrup products...There is pancakes, sausages, bacon, taffy, and of course, a lot of it is cooked in maple syrup. This is what I call a sugar shack but the term has been used for other meanings...like a love house etc...

This was my first 'Sudoku' birthday and I've enjoyed all the visits immensely.

Tulio and Mary, if you are still around, try putting the video on pause for a few seconds. You are playing it faster than you are downloading it. If you wait and watch the indicator across the bottom of picture, when it gets ahead then play the video.
Some people have uploaded to Youtube at different speeds. It just takes a little patience and it will be finne.
