Sorry Kathy, getting ahead of myself.
I guess it is a sign you needed to be wrote to. I never ask where in MD are you, Years ago I lived at Pax River NAS and at Andrews AFB, loved living in MD so much history to see.

Hi Kathy, first I made sure this is your page. I live in Bartlesville, about 40 miles north of Tulsa. We moved here about 6 years ago, have lived many places due to my husband being in the Navy. Never knew there was a Navy side at Andrews until we moved there.

KATHY, No I do not sell my quilts, noone would be willing to pay my price! Quilting fabric is so expensive now, and all the batting and other things one needs, it adds up to a couple hundred dollars and more sometimes just for materials.

NOW I do look for sales, and I have one quilt I made for about $20 fabric, but that is a fluke, not easily repeated.

No, they are a labor of love and only done for people who appreciate the time and energy that goes into them.

Hello Kathy - thanks for visiting my page.
I did a tour of both Europe and Great Britain a couple of years ago and visited a couple of old castles which I thoroughly enjoyed as I love old buildings. Also visited quite a lot of churches too, as most tours do over there.
Cheers

I agreed with the County Supervisors - it is the job of Government to provide for our protection, both foreign & domestic (including natural disasters, epidmics, etc.) If they had done it any differently, they would not have deserved re-election, let alone remain in office till the end of their terms.

Gday Kathy. I've always liked photos of fun guys! Tried to put some more up but it seems like I'm all thumbs today. Drop by again soon, hopefully I'll have them up by then. At last count I've counted at least two dozen different varieties of fungi on our block.

Kathy, thanks so much for stopping by. The Maryland Cream of Crab soup is delicious. (I couldn't resist a little taste). I'm serving it at my open house along with all the other goodies that have come my way.

Our trip to Africa was amazing and we are ready to go back any time. My husband had similar thoughts to your's about not wanting to be the lowest animal on the food chain, but he has since changed his mind. There is something profound about Africa.

I did some baking last night and am leaving you a delicious peach tart, made with peaches from my own tree. Enjoy.

Thanks, Kathy, for the kind anniversary wishes! We've been remarkably blessed on our journey these last 25 years (plus during the 8 1/2 years we dated) and hope to keep the fun going for at least another 25. Nice to look forward to creating memories together. Wishing you a terrific day spent with special people.

Thank you very much for the comforting words. It is truely very hard to lose a pet who has become a family member. It will take some time until we get used to not seeing or feeling her around us.
Your kind words touched my heart.

Thank you for the Birthday Wishes last week. I had dinner with Mom that evening. She then flew up to Portland, OR for a Class Reunion (68th) and flew back for the wedding on Saturday of her only grand-nephew (my cousin’s son – 41, first marriage). Mom (85) refused to take a nap after getting up at 3 am for the flight back and insisted on driving (through Los Angeles to Orange County) for the wedding – she still drives fast. By the time we got to there we were not speaking & the drive back was even worse – getting home around midnight. The wedding & reception was wonderful (so was the beach party the night before, which Mom had missed). Dad always said the reason we fight, was because we are so much alike – both strong willed women. But, we will always love each other. I left Tuesday, had a meeting in No. Calif. Wednesday afternoon, and decided to camp at Burney Falls State Park – making my dog happy, before returning home. The back is still bothering me – but no violent pains – more of the gnawing variety and when standing up after sitting too long (so there were a lot of stops on the way down and on the way home). Thanks for the good wishes – I’m safe if not sound.

Hi Kathy Thanks for your visit and post on my page, your vote will be added, and sooner or later I'll make a decision - in my eyes anyway!!!

Cant agree more with your comments about the footballer. If you can't treat an animal properly, don't bother going near them or having a pet! You'll have to let me know what the result of the trial is. Thank god these people are a minority!

So good to hear from you, Kathy. I had a great visit with Mom yesterday (will go again tomorrow night--pity she lives an hour away). Her speech is really improving and she's determined to be transferred to a clinic nearby that specializes in rehabilitating stroke patients. I applaud her positive outlook, and of course she's getting my messages from all my Sudoku friends to cheer her. Awful to take a day at a time, though--she's got so many medical issues plaguing her, and another more serious stroke is a definite possibility. We hope for the best, and I strive to make each visit one of good cheer, comfort and care. Thanks for your kind message, and have a wonderful day!

G'day Kathy, It's lovely of you to send me a little follow-up message. I got through my dreadful week of anniversaries in one piece, but I fear that it may take more than one year to come to terms with it. From what I have read it sounds like it's all part of the normal process, but with all my lovely Sudoku friends, I don't feel as alone as I did before.

Kathy, I just read your post about 9/11 and thought I'd chime in ... I've never been too concerned with my own popularity either, but if I know my opinion is going to ruffle feathers, or even worse, hurt another's feelings, I keep it to myself. It baffles me why some people would think to voice something that they know is likely to be hurtful, just because they feel they have found an avenue for their rant. Freedom of speech is a wonderful thing, but there is beauty and wisdom in knowing when to keep silent. I agree wholeheartedly with you--there are other radio stations, television broadcasts, and Sudoku websites, for some people to tune in to if they don't have the patience/compassion to "wade through" some genuine expressions of sympathy, grief and remembrance. Sending you a hug.

G'day Kathy. Just saw your post to me which said "Tree Sheila. Note to self - READ the post". I must sound terribly dim (but it IS only dawn here and I am just about to head back to bed for another go at getting some sleep), but I'm not sure what you mean. Is it me or you who has to read the post, and which post? Did I say something wrong?
