The rebuilding is progressing but ever so slowly - it's quite a task to resurrect everything which took over 7 yrs to build up.

Hope we'll re-open next year...fingers crossed.

PS They were doing some burning off quite close to us over the last couple of days and without any wind the smoke just fell on us. The memories were bad, but inevitable. One day at a time and we tell ourselves to keep smiling

KATHY, I could have lived my life without knowing about that typo if you had not pointed it out to me! When I typo, I do it right. Yep, right in the middle of Alabama hehehe, but not out in the open!! At least not lately :)

I and my son went to S. America for the holiday, we find it hard to be home on these occasions.

Kathy thank you for your wishes for a wonderful Thanksgiving. They came true. My entire family was together and had a wonderful time. No squables. Nothing burned down. We did loose the girl for a few minutes though, poor thing is the shortest out of 13 people just wandered off to her favorite play area, the bathroom. She had her own little TP party. Other than that is was a great afternoon.

Hope you and your family enjoyed yourselves as well.

Kathy, Friday I also cooked the turkey bones into a delish broth and made turkey soup. No barley though. Carrots, celery, onions, and some pasta or rice is my recipe. touch of poultry seasoning and garlic, and it is yummy!

I am glad I am not the only person who could say a genuine THANK YOU then I am offered the bag of turkey bones and such after a family meal!

Thanks for the good wishes. Hope your holiday has been good. Ours was very pleasant, with a four day visit with our daughters, their hubbies (one future), and our grandson. Christmas is on the close horizon, and it feels like it this morning (27F at 8:00 AM).

Gday Kathy, just passing, thought I'd drop in! How was your Thanksgiving. Mess all cleared, leftovers all eaten?
The weather is warming up here but we still have some cold days. One day, we had the air-con going then the very next day, I lit the wood heater again! No wonder, tis the season for out-of-season colds! My poor hubby is absolutely suffering with hayfever and my son's hayfever got so bad, he ended up with allergy-related conjunctivitis! Which means his dear girlfriend has to put drops in his eyes. Better her than me, he hates drops!!!
We'', enough of my babble, I'm off to Linda M's open page. There's an elephant on the trampoline at the moment, that sounds like a recipe for disaster!
