Your sad news prompted me to come here to say that In was sorry to hear that your husband is so seriously ill. I hope that you have a faith to sustain you through the difficult days ahead. What a journey you both knew you would be taking... I'm so sorry it had to come so soon. I hope the love of all your friends here will help support you.

Everyone that I know that has shared such an intimate experience .. the final journey.. as you will be doing have made similar comments as Mads.. The most difficult & demanding of all their shared experiences but ultimately the most rewarding.

Personally I felt very priviledged to be the sole person with my mother and hold her in my arms as she left us. The last thing she said was she loved me.. the last thing she heard was how much much I loved her.. and me blowing my nose as I sniffed and wiped away the tears..

Jane, my heartfelt thoughts and prayers are with you and Jaime during this difficult time. There are just no words....
