Hi Gail! Thanks for the visit. Everything is good in my little corner of the world. Great picture of you and Dino (and, of course, Merlin)
A tad far for me to travel, but I'd love to attend one of your meetings! Maybe some day....

Gail, thanks for dropping by and giving words of encouragement with the babysitting. The kiddies are treasures, but they have certainly tired their poor old Grandma and Grandpa out!! Today is the last day; their mommy and daddy come home late tonight. We've enjoyed the kids so much, but plan on going home and sleeping for about a week!!! Right now they are napping, so things are quiet, but that should end in a half hour or so!

Hi, Gail! You do have some lovely felines! But don't count on ever being cat-free. My husband and I got our first cat two years after we were married, and except for one year, have had one or more kitties ever since. We didn't intend to keep having cats, mind you. The last two found us - the most recent being Twinky in 2004. I don't have any cat pictures at present. I accidentally destroyed my camera at a full-moon party last summer (we were engulfed by a rogue wave while sitting on the beach enjoying the rising moon), and I've been too busy to do the research before buying a digital camera - but I will post a picture or two one of these days. Twinky is a darling little Manx. She was a feral dumpster diver before she was rescued by some neighbors - then abandoned when they couldn't house train her. So she shopped around and decided we would do. She's turned into a little love, but she gets away with a lot more than any of our previous animals! When she nibbles our toes, we swoon,("Oh, cutesy wootsy!!!) and when she runs up behind us and takes a good hard swipe at the back of our legs, we melt! NONE of our previous cats ever got away with biting or clawing! Oh well, they say cats and dogs become your children Twinky is actually more of a grandchild - spoiled rotten! And since she's so young, I suspect she'll be with us right up until we're ready for the old folks' home!

G'day Gail! All is well with my dear daughter Liz. The doc actually rang me on my mobile to say she is fine and the op went well. I am so relieved it's over. I have put a long explanation about it all on my page, together with some photos of moi, as you suggested! (The new ones are too big and will be fixed once I get back to my own house. I am at Liz's and her computer is Just Different, if you know what I mean). Anyway, I am so happy for my brave girl and hope that it does indeed open a new world for her. Kate.

Thank you such a wondeful sentiments! Indeed we had a great time together. Starting off at his favorite place for brunch and then off to the Norton Simon Museum (if you ever watch the Rose Bowl Parade on New Year Day it's the white building with a huge rose painted on the wall). Somehow your kids never grow old in your eyes, they still your babies! enjoy you talented photographer!

Hello Gail - I only just saw your comment on the kid's page before change over so thought I would comment on your page.
My daughter and family are only moving house but will still be in Christchurch. Wayne (her husband) will be a lot closer to where he works and the house will be better for them.

Gail, it was good of you to stop by while I was babysitting. A visit with a grown-up friend was most welcome!! We had a lovely time with the babies, but must admit to being glad when their mom and dad got home. They'll be visiting us this weekend, as our granddaughter will have her first birthday on Saturday.

Hope all is well with you.

Hello Gail, thanks for the gday message on my page. I visit the site almost everyday, but I don't always log-in. I should though because this is a great community of folks. The games are fun, the pictures are great and the comments range from funny to insightful, but always respectful. Anyway, thanks for visiting my page, I'll try to log-in more often!

What a nice thought, dear girl. I would really love a get-together over a cup of something one day but I'll have to make it another time. Believe it or not Liz & Simon got back home to Deniliquin at 1.30 today. She only stayed 1 night in hospital and then put in a day's sleep and 1 more night at a hotel. She is fine but still a bit groggy and unsteady on her pins. She has a wound behind her ear and the implant itself is under the skin and not visible. Apart from having a little patch of hair shaved off you would never know. Quite amazing!!! The wound can be looked after here so that saves a trip back to Melbourne and the next time she goes will be a fortnight. That is the exciting one, when the implant gets turned on. What a moment that will be, but I'll be at home babysitting like a good Grandma.
This is the first chance I've had to check things on my comp today and I saw you'd been to see me. Thanks so much for your kind thoughts, and for sure I'll get to meet up with you one day. I know where Cockatoo is, and it's a lovely part of the world. Thanks, Gail. Kate (Tree Sheila)

Gail. Glad you dropped by to check up on me--you never know what mischief might be afoot. Trying to keep a balance between missing mom, resuming a few day-to-day activities and dealing with a mess at work which has forced me to take on the local university in a bid to deal with a hostile student in my class. Not much fun, I can tell you, and the support thus far has been, shall we say, anemic. After today, we'll see ... Meanwhile, the puzzlers continue to be a most marvelous distraction, and the jokes the best gift ever. As is your friendship and concern. You're a real sweetheart! There'll will be wine with dinner tonight, that's for sure, and I'll drink a toast to you.

Gail - Even though this was all Original Cast Star Trek - the original did play for several seasons. You can tell by the change in the bar sceens, that they were from different years. also the glass types used. BTW - The lead singer for BBVD name is Scotty. The guy who put this together did a good job matching up the sceens to the song. Glad you enjoyed it.

I just wish there was a good video of BBVD doing Minnie the Moocher. My favorite by them.

Hi Gail, You asked about a couple of weeks ago to let you kow how the old horse Boy got on with the horse flu. We were quite worried about him as his temp. was always higher than the other horses but it has settled down now and all Belinda's horses have recovered. Luckily it was school holidays (teacher) so she had the time to take temps, administer medication and clean away mucus.
Sharon was back at the specialist today for the results of Laura's biopsy and it was negative to all possible causes for the ulcers at this stage. They took blood for further tests. We now have to try and put some weight on her.
Yes we still have our water bed and it has lots of baffles so that reduces the water movement. I just love having a bed that has a constant temperature. I have so much deterioration in my back that I must do my utmost to reduce any more problems.
I believe you will be in Sydney for 21st. I imagine you will stay with your sister otherwise I could offer you a bed. I should be going and also Sharon and Laura. Look forward to meeting you.

Hi,Gail - Thank you for taking the time to drop by my page and for extending your kind welcome. I'm just starting to realise that I have a member page and have to learn about icons and flickr, etc. so that I can make the thing more pleasant to visit (in other words, like yours). So thank you for braving the drabness and dropping by to brighten up the place.

Hi Gail, no, I haven't had any pics on easy this week, just a couple on the parents' page. The picture you're talking about was a lovely one though wasn't it. Haven't been on for a couple of days. Holidays are nearly over and I've been at school and to a training session yesterday. The really scary part is that the next holidays mean it's Christmas, and that will just fly now. Hope you're well and not working too hard!!

Gail, Thanks for stopping in. Things have been so hectic for the past month or so that I haven’t been able to stop in to Sudokuland and visit with everyone. A lot of family things, crazy busy at work, and I’m racing Mother Nature on an out door painting project. Things seem to be evening off now so I hope to be able to get back to regular visits again. Come by again some time.

Howdy, Gail! My hostile student (and remember, these are adults we're talking about!) has been given a stern warning from the program manager. I was hoping she would drop out of the class, but no--she loves the course, lucky me. So I get to see her tomorrow night, but she'd better not try to approach me about the nasty letter she gave me (I'm not kidding!), especially the part about "since I'm bereaved, she thought that would soften me up." Yep. I just want all my ducks in a row, to know what my rights are in case she tries any funny business ... I'd love nothing more than to dismiss her from the course myself. Know where I can buy a gun cheap? Danger pay? For the pittance I receive, this shrew should have been gone on the second night. We'll see how it goes. What fun! Meanwhile, we continue to enjoy gorgeous fall weather and my mom whispers comfort to me in the gentle breezes ...

Thanks Gail for your thoughts and visit. I still visit for very short times to play a puzzle and check out my page, but no time to talk on the SA page. I do, however, only have one and a half weeks to go and then I'll be finished and I am looking forward to coming back and contributing some more. Thanks also for my birthday wishes a few weeks ago, and sorry not to have replied sooner. I intended to thank everyone for their wishes after that but still haven't had enough time!!! I look forward to talking to you soon.

Gail - thanks for your comment but the little blighter wasn't supposed to take off just then. I had walked right up to him to take his photo and just as I clicked, he took off. Poor thing, he was sprawled out on the ground with wings outstretched behind my garden shed. He did look funny.
