It is still terribly hard as you would know. Each day gets a little easier, but it is the small things that make me choke. Today it was going through my in messages on my phone and rereading the one from my sister saying that Mum's passing was imminent. I wasn't with Mum at her last but had been with her non-stop for 36 hours prior to her emergency surgery, and had the great privilege of being able to share Mum's last week.
The circle of life continues though, and on Sunday, most of the family were able to be together to celebrate the wedding of our niece. Mum was remembered during the ceremony, and while it was one of those choking moments, it was also lovely to be able to smile, knowing she 'was there'. She will always live on in our hearts.

I just read about your wedding at the Shangri-La in Fiji - we stayed there around four years ago and I know exactly where it was you were married. When I was young we also used to holiday just down the way (about 12km the other side of Sigatoka at a place called Koratoga - at the time we were living in Suva.)
