Welcome to my page!  Sit back, enjoy a glass of wine and some chocolates!  Mi casa es tu casa.  You can play around with my fishies.  To feed them by clicking here and there, which leaves little fish pellets.  Also they like to play follow the leader.  Just move your cursor around, they will follow!

shosho, have a good one.
A woman walked into the kitchen to find her husband stalking around with a fly swatter.

'What are you doing?' She asked.

'Hunting Flies' He responded.

'Oh. Killing any?' She asked.

'Yep, 3 males, 2 Females,' he replied.

Intrigued, she asked. 'How can you tell them apart?'

He responded, '3 were on a beer can, 2 were on the phone.'

Shosho, glad you are enjoying your birthday, in our home birthday celebrations can last anywhere from a day to a weekend. It is so much fun being queen for a few days. It definitely charges you up for your new year. AND thanks for calling me young! Although my body (and my 2 teenage daughters) would sometime disagree with you - but the alternative is much worse.

Take care of yourself and continue to enjoy your birthday!
Aimee :-)

Thanks for the good wishes on Nora Hope's birth. Nora and big brother Payton and mommy and daddy are well. I'm still with my daughter and family in Cincinnati, Ohio, doing gramma duties and becoming quite tired myself! It's a good tired, however! I'm hoping to be able to go home tomorrow (Wednesday 5/14) and then I can play sudoku again!

Dear Shosho,
Thank you for your support while I have been ill. I never expected such a response from this site, everyone’s concern and caring has overwhelmed me. I can only say that it is the genuine people here who make this a very unique place to share our hopes, dreams, ups and downs. So thank you for being there.

Good morning, Shosho!

Thank you for all the encouraging comments. Sorry it's taken me so long to get back to you. I've been busy "catching up" with my correspondence and also installing some new stuff on my computer - including an external hard drive to help protect my computer in case we have some more nasty weather. Speaking of weather, everything is back to normal, more or less. There's still lots of clean-up to be done, but just about everyone in the community has pitched in to speed things up.

Talk to ya later on "easy". Right now I'm off to Brunswick (the port city across the causeway from St. Simons) to recycle my old computer and some other electronics. There's only one day a year we can do this for free. Cheers! Jane

Hi Shosho,
I was very moved by your recent comment on my page in relation to Lynda's tribute. I found that was a hard task, because I needed to overcome my own grief to carry it out. I am really honoured by the respect you attribute to my poetic ability, which I have never really ever viewed as anything special - it is just fun. I don't think I have yet descended into bitterness in my old age and am pleased that some human compassion shows through the dry facade - and I must add that such compassion and kindness more clearly shines from yourself.

after being a girl scout leader for 5 years, I can understand what you went through. I had one mother say she didn't like it that my husband went with us camping. I asked her to come instead, but she decided that it was all right for Ed to come.

May this never happen to you:

A couple of weeks ago, a family in Oregon had a message on the answer machine. Their son is in Afganistan & had called earlier in the day. The message was a fire fight in which they could hear their son's voice. The last thing they heard was someone yelling incoming. They were worried that it was the last thing they would hear his voice. When they got a hold of their son, he said don't let grandma hear the tape. What had happened was he had left his cell phone on and it had automatically redialed. Since the tape was on the news, I think grandma heard it.

Shosho, I saw your post re the Everly Brothers on Greg's page. (He is urging me on to get an avatar and post pictures on my site. I had just told him you told me to get a teenager! to help me.) The Everly Bros were around '57 - I was a teenager then and danced and danced and sang to their music! I can remember all their lyrics better than I can remember what I am supposed to get at the grocery today! We just took our mast down and are putting the boats to bed for the summer. We go up north to avoid any Big Winds! Hope you are having a good week.

Shosho, I would totally LOVE to meet you in person and do a sudokulunch! However NSB is probably 6 hours from Punta Gorda. About half way would be Orlando-ish. Kathy is in Tampa at least 2 hours closer to NSB than I. But that would have been great! We are actually taking the auto-train to Washington DC from Orlando July 1st. Then we drive to Rochester NY. BTW the J22 worlds are at RYC this year as well as some big women's match race. We aren't competing! I do so admire your activity! I am a bit of a slug these days. Hope you enjoy FL when you are here.

Hi Shosho! Carol has clued me in that you may be coming to FL in June!! I live on the other coast but it might be possible for me to get to New Smyrna by going half way for a visit with my daughter in Orlando & then the rest of the way to NSB when you are there. I'm pretty sure Jane could get down to NSB from St. Simons if the dates are right for her. That's not a long trip for her. Too bad your grandson isn't quite old enough for Disney World. I could very easily meet you there! How many more days til you're out of school. I'm sure you're counting! Here in our county the last day for students is June 4. Teachers, of course, a little longer. Our daughter Kyley usually teaches summer school, too, but this year she is going to spend all her time on working towards her Masters in Education Administration. Please keep me posted on your FL plans, & we'll see what we can work out. I would love to meet you.

Hi, Shosho!

Great news! When are you coming? Unfortunately, we've got a busy month coming up: we'll be on the Outer Banks of NC from May 31 through June 8; my hubby's birthday is June 12; then I have a girls' getaway to St. Augustine from June 17 through the 19th; and we have anniversary plans for June 28. BUT, the rest of the month is free! New Smyrna Beach is about 4 hours (more or less) from St. Simons (as is Orlando), so if that's where you want to meet, I will try to figger out a way to do it, depending on the date. Worst case scenario would be to meet up with you as you whiz past St. Simons on I-95. We're just a hop, skip and a jump off the interstate at the Brunswick exit. Keep me posted!

That cockatoo's a scream!! & I mean that in more was than one - it was his voice you heard instead of Stevie Nicks all you'd hear would be screeches & screams unless he was in mimic mode! Sounds like you mother was lucky you had a nanny!! I can see all that trouble waiting to pop out, in your grandsons eyes! Actually it sounds like me at 2 running out the greet the Queen before any one could stop me when she visited in 1954! My doll had short blond curls till I cut them all off!!!! I still have the doll a bit worse for wear. One day I'll take her to the Doll's Hospital for some cosmetic surgery!
