Hi Cyndi! Glad you & your hubby had a good vacation in Mrytle Beach. It's always nice to get away & then to come back home again!! Rob & I will have our fall week at Fripp Island from Oct. 14-21. I think Celia from Toronto will be coming to join us there for at least part of the week. Maybe you & your husband could drive out to Fripp one day or if you don't want to come that far maybe Celia & I could arrange to meet you halfway for lunch somewhere? Plenty of time to think about it. Will look forward to some cooler weather by then!!

Hi Cyndi! Brendan is going to Drew University in northern New Jersey. It is about 3 hours south of us. Did you have a good time at Myrtle Beach? It must have been hot though. Take care.

Gidday Cyndi for your best wishes for James 18th Birthday today. He is planning a party with his mates later in the month and we are taking him out for dinner tonight to celebrate. His brother has already taken him to the pub for lunch - so James could go buy the beers - I don't know if he tried the pokies (gambling is another thing he can legally do now he is 18). Boy a whole new world has opened for him.

Hi, Cyndi! Is this my first visit to your page? I should be ashamed! I hope you'll enjoy these flowers and a big box of Frango Mints (chocolate, of course). I haven't been able to spend much time at SA3 lately, and the next 2 weeks will be away from a computer. As I suffer my withdrawal symptoms, I'll be thinking of you and all the other SA regulars. I hope you'll be able to stay a bit cooler. Just think, it will "almost" be fall by the time I can post again. Take care, and I hope to "see" you again soon!

Cyndi, thanks for your kind words. Of course, anything is possible. The lady in the hospital room with Mom had a stroke and lost "everything", and when I saw her last night, she was playing math games with her daughter, plus she was ambulatory and speaking clearly. So miracles do happen and I hope we'll be granted another one. Bless you for caring and have a wonderful day with people who bring you joy.

Cyndi, I haven't seen you around much and am hoping that everything is ok with you. Take care and hope to catch up with you.

Cyndi, Thanks for your thoughts and prayers. The procedure went well and showed that Laura has more than 5 stomache ulcers. No wonder she did not want to eat when her reflux medication was reduced. We now have to find the cause and medication to fix the problem.
While I am visiting I might as well join you in a cup of coffee and relax after an exhausting day.

Hi Cyndi--well, it seems there are all kinds of miracles, and though we weren't granted the one we wanted, we were blessed to have such a wonderful mother, and that is miracle enough. We miss her terribly, but I'm comforted knowing I did my best to make her last day peaceful and let her know she wasn't alone. Sometimes, letting go is the best way we can love. Thanks for walking alongside me through this tough time.

G'day Cyndi, I don't think I have been to your page before, and I should have because I have had such a lovely warm welcome. Yes, I would love a cup of coffee, thank you very much! Anyway, you were kind enough to leave me a message about my daughter's cochlear implant. Thanks so much for the thought. She is getting along well but still has a lot of learning to do to be able to cope with all this new noise in her life. It's quite a complicated procedure. I have no doubt though that she'll handle it all and not have any regrets. So far she has remarked on a few sounds she has heard but not many as the device is still on the very lowest setting and will be turned up slowly over a period of 6-8 weeks. I'll have to keep everyone posted. Thanks again Cyndi and hope all is well with you. Cheers, Kate (Tree Sheila)

My husband and I bought our very first house in Solebury (about 3 miles from New Hope) in 1971 and lived there until 1976 when we moved to Richmond, VA. We loved the area, and our across-the-street neighbors still live there, so we do get back occasionally to visit. I am now a "dyed-in-the-wool", "card-carrying" southerner, however!!!

Where in South Carolina do you live? Are you near the coast?

Cyndi, I'm so very glad you were able to come to the party and pay tribute to the special people you have loved. What a great turnout we had--and wasn't it nice to learn that we're not alone during those times when we miss our loved ones most? Very comforting.

Hi, Cyndi! Thanks for leaving me a note yesterday and letting me know that your son traveled with PtoP. It was such a pleasure taking students all over the World. The travel was nice, for sure, but what was truly special was getting to know the terrific kids that traveled with us. I led groups from 1992-2002, so I may have run into your son at some point! Did he enjoy the trip? XO
