Greetings. Please stop and visit anytime.  I retired last December, so I'm usually here,  and I love the company.  I'll keep the kettle on for y'all who drink your tea hot, or I can brew a cup of coffee.  I always have iced tea in the fridge.  For those who prefer the "harder" stuff; I just checked the bar, and it's properly full right down to the Bailey's for your coffee and the Jaegermeister for those with no taste buds left..  Laughing    I read the comments daily even though I don't always respond.  I love the jokes and appreciate people's insight and intellect.  So, even if you don't see the lights on; give a shout, stop, sit a while, put your feet up, have your choice of drink, and I'll find something to munch on as well.  Thanks to those who have taken the time to say hello.   With a little help, I'll try to finish "moving in"  to my page soon..  Best wishes to all of you.                   2006-11-30

All the best for Christmas and the New Year. You asked about cooking potatoes two days before you need them. On http://www.thriftyfun.com/t471279.tip.html there are a couple of suggestions. I have done it and found that as long as the potatoes are kept in an airtight container in the fridge I don't have any problems. Good luck.

Hi Cyndi, Thanks for visiting my photo gallery. Yes I am proud of my 5 little muppets, some not so little any more. They grow too quickly. Have been admiring little Tessa, she'd be 3 months old now and a bundle of joy!
Happy New Year to you and yours from me and mine.
Cheers, Cynthia
Is your real name Cynthia? I have been called Cyndi before but because it was my ex-husband, I stopped the practice!

Thank you Cyndi for your anniversary wishes. We had a lovely, albeit brief, time away. We celebrate a lot of milestones this year so we are hoping to take more time away later in the year, maybe even a cruise.

Cyndi, I really must apologise for sounding so pompous in my reply. I had about three different things happening so I banged off a quick 'thank you' without giving it much thought.
I enjoy photography and I try to improve as I go along. Sometimes I just see subjects from a different perspective. For example, I took that photo of footsteps in the mud while I was on an excursion with the photography group of the University of the Third Age and nobody else recognised its potential. But there are some superb photographers among our Sudoku friends, particularly nal of Miami. Do visit her Flickr pages and enjoy her great photography.

Cyndi, thanks for stopping by and sending my sister birthday wishes. I love your smilies, they are so cute! My sister does live in NY, but on Long Island, about 3 1/2 hours away. We went skiing with her up in Vermont a couple of weeks ago.
I hope all is well with you. Take care!

Cyndi, thanks for dropping by. I'm still in CA and have been enjoying myself, especially having fun with some of the cultural differences. I'm not game to cross the road cos I keep looking the wrong way! Have you seen the pics on Shosho and Keith from CA 's pages? It was good to actually meet some online buddies. Back to OZ on Sunday night.

And I'm back! Just read your 2nd post.
I live in Bowie. I haven't been crabbing for quite awhile. I tend to buy them now rather than fish for them! I think it was National Bohemian Beer with the song: National beer, National Beer
You'll love the taste of National Beer! And while I'm singing, I'm proud to say, it's brewed on the shores of the Chesapeake Bay! Why I remember that, I'll never know! lol

Yes, indeed the Orioles are alive and well! As a matter of fact, the Orioles AA team is located here in Bowie. They are the Baysox. We have had season tickets since they moved here 11 or so years ago. Prince George's Stadium is just a couple miles from my house. I am the president of the booster club, so I'm quite involved on all levels! Lots of fun getting to know the players and watch as they progress through the system.
