Sorry to have missed your birthday, but I haven't been on the sudoku page lately. So belated wishes to you.
As to gas prices, we're resigned to higher ones here, too. Last summer a poll asked what the price had to be to curtail vacation auto travel plans, and most said $3.50 a gallon. That's what we hit here this past weekend in the Midwest US. I don't know what the prices are on the coasts, but usually we pay the least. And for some strange reason, when gasoline is purchased at a marina, the price is $.50 to $.75 a gallon higher for the same stuff found out on the road. Hubby and I will be using our boat as a floating cottage this summer.

Goodness me, did we make the news up there? Wonders will never cease!
I did mention it on "easy" the day it happened but I don't know if many read about it then.
That's the beach that I have photos of on the site from time to time and there's some on my page. A beautiful beach it is. We have had shark sitings over the years but never an attack like this before. The man was very lucky and the woman VERY brave to swim in to rescue him, putting herself in immense danger.
Don't forget to visit again sometime.

Oh my gosh!!!! I had about 22 messages in my inbox today just from Sudoku friends wishing me a 'Happy Birthday'! Thank you so much for all of your kind thoughts and wishes especially when I haven't been around for so long. It has been a wonderful day and a lovely weekend. Rick and I went away to a romantic chalet at Springbrook with an open fireplace and we went bushwalking etc. I have uploaded a photo of Kiarah and some others onto 'my page'. Photos taken 26th May 2008. Kiarah is just about 18 months old now and still gorgeous hahaha....
