Hello Greg - to you and your family. I hope it is one that is filled with many blessings, joy and laughter!

We have a very cold morning here today. 2 deg (F). Brrrrrr. Right now, we have about 14 inches of snow on the ground.

Thank you for your kind words about Jenny. She was overwhelmed with everyones kindness on this site.

Have a great day!

Hi Greg - his dad/my dearest husband is from Edmonton. The babe is now 16 months old, walking, climbing and generally exploring his world. His name is Mike. My page is boring because I spend most of my time with my two boys. The older brother is just as cute (not that I'm biased) - his name is Nick. Thanks for your interest.

G'day Greg. I posted this on Easy this morning but I have my doubts that you'll see it. Just repeating it here for you as I'm sure you'll get a kick out of it, that is, if you don't already know it.

~~~ Are you there Canuk Greg? The "Sydney Morning Herald" is an esteemed newspaper in Sydney, Australia (not the Nova Scotia one) which has a feature called Column 8. It's a daily compulsory read for me, after Sudoku. Right now there's a lot of stuff going on about Canada and I've found out
that one of the names once proposed for Canada was...Hochelaga !! Mmmm. Can you imagine singing your national anthem as "O Hochelaga, O Hochelaga" ? Sense prevailed, thank goodness. ~~~
Me again.. I should have given you the link.
This is just today's but there is an archive link on the top right of the page. A good sense of humour and the ridiculous is compulsory.
Thank you Greg, hubby and I most certainly did enjoy our getaway, however brief. He is my best friend and we love being in each others company.
This year is full of milestones for us, so hopefully later in the year, we may be able to get away for longer, possibly even a cruise. Can't wait.
BTW Did you know it will be Rolanda's 25th next Tuesday 15th?
Greg, I am truly touched by your little poem, thank you. The philosophy you suggest is very appropriate and it has helped me to remember the good times we shared together and not to dwell on what has been lost. Many thanks.
Thanks Greg for the birthday wishes. I am making a week of it. Sunday was with daughters and Laura (at Belinda's so Laura could go horse riding). Yesterday with my sister. Today (15th) I will play bowls with friends and we will go to Melbourne on Thursday to catch up with my son and our grandsons.
Hello C.G. Don't worry to much about missing sending b/day wishes. I forgive you. No hard feelings, my heart's not broken, no tears streaming down my face.[feeling bad yet]. SORRY! I can be a little stinker at times. We have had a couple of trips to Sandy Cape. have loaded pics into my gallery but will have to resubmit them, when the site settles down. Thanks for the better late than never b/day wishes. Cheers.
CGreg,
Your poems are great with very original 'scan' and rhyming pattern. I enjoy them. Make sure you store them somewhere safe and I think you will find you will come back to them, edit and improve them from time to time. yes. I share cooking with neighbouring friends. I do dinner three days, and they do it four days, each week. It works well.
Many thanks for the nice message about my house. I am so relieved that it has sold, as I was starting to get rather worried. Interest rates are increasing almost weekly here making a big mortgage even harder to afford, so I think I've been very lucky.
Hope you are well, long time since I've posted anywhere here. Happy new year (it's a bit late, I know!). With a bit of luck, I'm back online regularly.
Yes, CG! I was going to buy a chanter from this Scottish company but Jeb suggested another source. I'm going by what he says. I already play a recorder and a little clarinet, so I suppose this won't be too hard to learn. But if I appear blue in the face you'll let me know, right? I did that trying out my son's sax. Ugh!
Hello Canuk Greg.....thx for the welcome and compliments. I'm a dropout from this site. My first posting was on 12/30/05. I got so wrapped up in it, found myself leaving for work later and later each morning. Coming home a checking, reading and reading and reading...and reading. I'm guessing I dropped off the site about a year later. Addicted.....hummm yup! I have kept contact with Jim from Jupiter(jj) and CeeCee over the time away. jj got me back into it when he invited me to take a look at his page. I was fortunate to meet the two of them last year when my mom and I took a cruise through the Panama Canal that debarked from Fort Lauderdale. They are both terrific people. Linda (LK) from Minnesota was the first to greet me in 2005. We have very close family friends that live in B.C., daughter in Richmond and her mom on Salt Springs Island. My father was suppose to have been a Canuk...but he surprised his parents by arriving early during a winter visit to North Dakota. Saskatchewan was his families home but his father died at 52 and mom brought him to Fargo, ND. My parents, brother and I traveled to Montreal in 1964 for the Expo.....we camped all the way there and back. OMG all I rememebr was our tent filled with rain water. I was 13 and didn't want to camp but I do remember the sights. Ok TMI as the kids say. Thanks again for the welcome.
Gidday Greg, You have about as many pages of comments as I have comments... Popular man!! Just thought I'd drop by to say hi. I was looking at that fantastic toboggan run glacier... Now wouldn't that be the last thrill of a lifetime. Seriously, You take some wonderful photos. Canada (from what I remember from my 3 week visit to BC in 1983) is just an amazing exhilaratingly beautiful place. I remember my cousin taking me up to visit a glacier about half an hour - or perhaps a bit more - north of Vancouver. I don't think that it was the one that you have photographed- I don't remember it being quite as big. Another beautiful place that I was priviliged to be taken to was Lake Quesnel in the Caribu. We stayed in a little log cabin that was only accessible by boat. Another spectacularly beautiful place.
Keep the Canuks in check fi
Hi Greg! You'll be happy to know I got the same answer as you (1584) on my first try. I mistakenly calculated 49 big cats instead of 343 because I figured for each of the 7 girls having only 1 backpack not 7!!! Hope you're keeping warm & well up there in the cold cold north!!!
I took Angie's design and modified it a bit to include your suggestion of "have fun playing at" & also the text "bringing the world together" (from MizT). It is a simple design - 3 colors.
It is on my page an 8"x10" design. Changes like that can be fairly easily made to any of the designs.
