Thanks for the welcome, and I love Canadian maple syrup. I had the pleasure of working in London Ontario from 2001 to 2004 and enjoyed it. The commute every weekend to Florida was difficult though, particularly with the late springs. Don't know why I never figured it out that while sandals and capris worked well in Florida, the feet were chilled in the snow in London.

Cheryl, you will be pleased to know that I too, replied to you on my own page! So you are not alone. What I said was -
'Cheryl, if you are having trouble working out which intelligent questions to ask, just go ahead and ask the dumb ones, someone will help.'

Thank you Cheryl for the pancake and maple syrup and dropping into the gallery. Dear Mother Nature delivers then she takes away. I think we're lucky in this little corner of the world,we don't get extremes in the weather.

Hi Cheryl, I've seen your comments on the jigsaw pages, but didn't realize that I had not dropped by to give you a proper Sudokuland welcome.
I rarely comment on the jigsaws, but I'm everywhere else...so when you see me around, give me a shout out. Leaving you a basket of Philly Cheese steaks and some wine from our Pa wineries...hope you enjoy. Looking forward to getting to know you better.

Thank you Cheryl for making my birthday a special one.
Many sudoku friends from around the world coming to visit me and wishing me a Happy Birthday have overwhelmed me.
My Husband and sons took me out to dinner to a Chinese Restaurant, and on the Sunday, we had a delicious Roast Dinner at MIL’s.

Cheryl,

Coming to visit with a platter of Plum and farmer's cheese pierogi, boiled then lightly crisped in butter and topped with sour cream.
The Tough of May 21, 2008 was the FIRST Tough puzzle I got all on my own with no help! Horray for me!! (So I signed up as a member.)
Thanks for the warm (and deliciously sticky) welcome. Buttermilk pancakes are my preference and pure maple syrup only on my plate. Even made quarts and quarts of my own maple syrup once and canned it to last a couple of years.

Hi Cheryl, for the birthday wishes. And, even though I could get my own maple syrup, syrup from the sudoku site has a much better calorie count

Oh my gosh!!!! I had about 22 messages in my inbox today just from Sudoku friends wishing me a 'Happy Birthday'! Thank you so much for all of your kind thoughts and wishes especially when I haven't been around for so long. It has been a wonderful day and a lovely weekend. Rick and I went away to a romantic chalet at Springbrook with an open fireplace and we went bushwalking etc. I have uploaded a photo of Kiarah and some others onto 'my page'. Photos taken 26th May 2008. Kiarah is just about 18 months old now and still gorgeous hahaha....

for the pancake breakfast with warm maple syrup! It was a yummy way to start my birthday! I nearly toasted the person across from me when I blew out the candles! (It was a "biggie" year!) Thanks for helping me celebrate!

This weather must be keeping the number of Beach visitors down. We're supposed to get good weather starting Tuesday afternoon - just in time to pack up & come home . I usually make it up there at least once every year, but try to avoid weekends. Hope you have a happy Canada Day.

Gosh, Cheryl, I was hoping you could help me with this one!
"Hi Judy - Thanks for the invite to become a Friend. Gladly I accept - but now what... not sure what to do next but will find out in due course I'm sure. Cheers."
I do have a list of friends now that I can see, not sure whether anybody else can see the list. It just sounded like something good to do -- can't ever have too many friends, right?

Cheryl, for popping in today. Sorry I was out when you called, but I sure am glad you stopped a while and made yourself at home.
Your kind words have made my day. I have enjoyed sharing my photos with all my sudoku family.
Sometimes when I look back through the fungi pics, it kinda creeps me out to think there are so many just outside! I may have been wrong about the lichen, I actually think it moss. Will have to do a google search to find out the differences!
Have a great day.

Hi Cheryl, thank you for your really nice comments. The surgery I had a couple of weeks ago was delicate and spectacular - although I was asleep throughout the whole procedure.
It involved inserting wires up through my groin and into my heart, finding the muscle that was sending false signals, zapping it and waking me up. (The last bit is, to me, the most important part of an operation - one wake up for every anaesthetic) It took them four hours, but it was successful.
So now all I have to do is convalesce and get fit again. I have had a few health obstacles but everything is now moving in the right direction.
Anne and I are going to shed our worries and head the motorhome north. We'll be away for about two weeks.
