Rolanda from Perth

Thank you for your Birthday greetings. The weather isn't cooperating - Thursday & Friday were 108°, tying & setting record highs for the 14th & 15th respectively. The funny thing is tha overall this summer has been relatively cool.

Mom called this morning to sing me Happy Birthday. Last year I was in So. Cal. with her for my Birthday.

Tonight I worked Britt & listening to Midori and the Britt Orchestra, while being Pop Corn Queen - a title I got several years ago. [Not a fun job when it is hot - sun on the back & heat from the kettle. But during classical allows time to mix with friends.] I found the coolest thing possible to wear, without being indecent.

Saturday & Sunday nights will be filled with more classical music (Grand Finale of the Classical Season). The near full moon tonight with music was breathtaking. Thanks again for the Birthday wishes.

Yes the weather has been delightful but the garden is getting a bit dry and I wouldn't complain if we had a bit of rain. Not that I am a gardener of any note - more of a brown thumb, but I love to see the wildflowers.

Hi Rolanda! Hope your son Robert has an extra special 22nd birthday! Did you bake him a yummy to top off the rest of the home cooked meal? I was just thinking that when my Robert (husband, not son) was 22 1/2 we got married. HIS poor mother must have been worried about whether we were too young. But here we are 41 years later still happily married. Does your Robert have a steady girlfriend yet? He's a cutie!
