Hi CP. I'm glad you got that WHEEEE there! I think you needed it! Hope everything turns out okay for you & your mother. Parents are such a worry. The gap between them worrying about us & us worrying about them seems so small! You're in my Prayers.

Just popped in to say hi, CP. You've had a long haul with taking care of your mum up there far away from home. Don't know if you saw my post about finding her town on my map of Australia. I know you'll be torn between wanting to be a help to her yet being home for your family & job, too. Guess it's the type of experience many of us go through later in life. I've been thinking of you & sympathizing.

CP, Anne and I wish you both a very Happy Anniversary.
I have no wish to upstage you, but coincidentally our 40th is tomorrow! There is a bottle of Moet on ice and the kids are taking us out to dinner. The really important thing is that I remembered to buy her a card - now all I have to do is remember to write in it.

I do hope your mum is on the improve.

With love and best wishes from us both.

Hi CP. My post was a bit ambiguous! I'm only 56 & my sister Maureen/Dubbo is younger than I am! It's our parent's Anniversary! Thank you for the wishes. How's your Mum? Maureen has the brunt of looking after our parents because they live in Dubbo as well. While Maureen was away another sister drove to Dubbo one Saturday then took them home with her on the Sunday. They stayed the week then she repeated the process! By the way that sister lives in Canberra!

Hi CP. I spoke to my parents briefly yesterday evening (my daughter & her partner arrived so they stayed for dinner, must have smelt the lamb roasting!) and told them of the wishes from around the globe! Mum was very cuffed! Thank you! I join you in hoping your mother does the right thing, but stubbornness is a difficult thing to drop!!!!

Best wishes and prayers for your mum, and for you, CP. I believe that there are special gifts waiting in the Hereafter for someone who is, at the same time, caring for and a blessing for the very young ... and for the very old.

It amazes me the things that are assumed by hospital staff sometimes - eg that you'll automatically know about dosage and that medication will miraculously appear without assistance as required. Good luck with your mum; hope she improves quickly now that she is with you.

CP: So glad you've all made it home safely. Take some time to get some rest while your Mum acclimates and settles comfortably. She is certainly fortunate to have you and Mr. P to care for her as you do. God Bless.
