Oh, Cathy, I am so sorry to hear about your mum. Every mother should have a daughter as dedicated and caring as you have been, and I'm sure that she appreciated your love in her last days. CP- News of your loss brought tears to my eyes; you have my deepest sympathy. Even knowledge of the "rules of nature" cannot truly prepare you for the loss of a parent. My father passed away two years ago this week. Rest assured, those memories that are flooding you now will eventually transition from heartbreaking reminders of loss to cherished reminders of love and good fortune. I also talk to my Mom, and get comfort from saying good morning to her each day, even though she has been gone for 4 years now. What a strange co-incidence of fate that Kate from Melbourne's Mum died yesterday as well and that my Dad passed away 2 years ago yesterday and Jano from Lebanon's Dad passed away 5 years ago yesterday. May 7th will be remembered with joy and sadness in all 4 families. Look after yourself.

Oh Cathy, how I share your grief as both our Mums passed away on the same day - both after broken hips. I am sure we will work our way through the pain and cling to happy memories. My love and best wishes to you and your family, I am there with you all the way.
