So sorry to hear about your disastrous holiday. You should have come here!! I hope you have recovered, now. We have loads of snow at the moment, and I have suspected Carpal tunnel syndrome, which makes life difficult, but we are fine, otherwise. Hope to hear from you, soon. Love to you and your daughter. Dear André - thank you so much for your lovely birthday wishes.
I had a two day birthday as I spent most of Saturday (my b'day? with Amanda, Johnathan and Bailey (her husband was at work) and also had afternoon tea with my sister.
Yesterday six of us (friends and my sister) went to a winery we hadn't tried before and spent a lovely few hours there chatting and having lunch, oh, and a bit of wine tasting as well.
I had a lovely weekend all in all.

I'm still alive and well but have been pretty busy since Christmas. I try and do at least a couple of puzzles most weekdays and read the posts but haven't really had much to contribute.
Spouse and I are going to Sydney for Easter. Most of our family including our two daughters live there. Our elder daughter is actually in Canada at present at Whistler with her partner who is undertaking a ski instructors' course so we won't see her.
We want to go to Taronga Park Zoo as there have been two elephant calves born there in the past 6 months.
Hope things are starting to warm up over there. We have needed to put our heater on the past 2 evenings, so Autumn is really arriving.
I've noticed a lot of football matches have been postponed even with underground heating. At least my team (Dunfermline) still have a chance for promotion.

thanks for the note. I had knee surgery about 5 weeks ago. things are getting better it's just a bit slower going than I like. all the therapy is a bit painful but.... pain is only temporary. I'll keep you posted on the progress.

André, thank you so much for celebrating my birthday with me last week, I had so much fun reading all the posts.
The family went out to dinner that night, then the next day we had yet another party for my youngest daughter's 16th. I then had the pleasure of a lunch on Sunday with some of our Sudoku family who spoiled me wonderfully.
It doesn't get much better than that!

Andre, thank you very much for my birthday wishes, I stretch out the celebration for as long as I can..take care and be well!
