Hello everybody! I have been in Thailand for over 23 years and live in the coastal resort of Hua Hin some 250 kms south of Bangkok. Originally from England and born a cockney, I have settled in this marvellous country with my Thai wife and 20 year old son.
For those of you who wonder, my name is Ian and I live in Hua Hin hence Huahinian!
Sadly, my beautiful wife, Orn, passed away on Sunday, 23rd May 2010. The photographs of the floral tributes speak words of their own but for those unfamiliar with Buddhist ways, I will try and expand. The body lies in a temple for a few days and people attend daily to listen to the monks chant their prayers. In Orn's case, there will be four days of prayers and then the cremation will be on Thursday.
