Indeed you were not late at all for my birthday, your message arrived just after my breakfast on my day. Yes, I am glad there are no calories in cyber cake or bubbly, I have had more than my share hehehe. I will indulge in some real birthday cake if hubby makes one as promised, but will cut the calories at my meal as not to run up my numbers. Heck, everyone deserves cake on their birthday! AND if we lunch where I have suggested, I shall have 1/2 of a slice of the most sinful key lime pie! It is good that I know more than that will make me physically sick, keeps me honest hehehe.

Thanks Bean for your birthday wishes, I am still celebrating - my daughter came home for the weekend and we all went out to dinner last night, it was great to see her again.

Hi Bean, We haven't decided where we will stay in Melbourne. Last visit we stayed at the St Kilda Novotel and possibly will stay there again (courtesy of fly buys). Kevin and I have no plans yet except we will return to the Great Ocean Road and want to visit Bendigo and spend time on the Mornington Peninsula and around Westernport Bay. When I know more of our plans I will let you know.
I'd love to meet some sudokuists while I'm in Victoria.

Hi Bean! As far as I know I'm free on Thurs. Sorry, the eclairs are all etten up, and it could be another 10 years before I make them again! I'll see what I can do with something less sinful (and time consuming) - would you spurn a tea-cake? cucumber sandwiches? bread and cheese? What time do you start your working of the garden?

Hi Bean, We haven't done any planning yet, so I'll definitely try to keep the 10th free. Hubby is going to pick up a map of Victoria today so sometime this week we'll start to plan our itinerary. I'll let you know more as we work out where we are staying etc.
Where (in relation to the city) do you live? N S E or W? That might influence where we stay while in Melbourne.

BEAN, thanks for the note, and yep, my cinnamons exactly. Nurse suggested if we had not herd from them in a week to give the insurance a call myslef, that might shake them into action. I will give it a try. The new muscle relaxers did not keep me awake last night, which is good. In fact I am still sleepy and drowsy and a bit groggy this morning. I think I will get my coffee and toddle off to my recliner to hold it down today.

Shoulder is ok, bit ouchy still, but I will take some paracetamol; and get on with the mulch. Should all be ok for driving. Will give you a tingle next week (unless you say I should give Jess a call!) about next week because with Bill here, it probably wont suit to come over then either. Maybe we could get the mob together for a lunch and then he can meet my deranged friends!

I haven't really had the wherewithal to put two thoughts together to be quite honest! I think at this stage, if it is to be any day it will have to be Tuesday, but I wont know until the sisters come up for lunch tomorrow, not sure if they want to have their evil way with him for a couple of days. Then on Wednesday, I will be taking him down to Geelong for the day and he leaves on Thursday!

BEAN, thank you much for the notes. I am upright and doing OK now. Doc said it might be a day or 2 fore I see how good the resunts are. I am to rest today and not bend or walk a lot or test it out today. I can begin to slowly resume activities tomorrow. so we will see.

I do know when they told me to scoot up in bed, I raised my hips up;p like a normal person, andd was surprised that I could and that it did not hurt! Getting int othe car was easier also, feet and legs did what I told them too, hehehe, and hubby said I hopped right in. I am hopeful.

thanks for the birthday wishes. I have popped in periodically, but... do seem to have been very busy for the past 12 months or so. Whenever I have stuck my head in here there never seems to be anyone around - probably wrong time of day :)

I can't come to Sydney on the 7/11 unfortunately. We are going to Sydney in January for big boy's wedding.

Hi Bean; unfortunately we will not be coming down to Melbourne for Halloween. The next time we will be south of the border will be in January when we are joining some fellow caravan enthusiasts in a sweep through North-Eastern Victoria.
But we will be at June's and I look forward to seeing you again.

Bean I keep hearing about this blog of yours but where is it? Hope you're having a lovely time with the Californian girl!! Behave yourselves - not!!

Bean - you haven't been around (no pun intended!) You must be exhausted with the excitement of your visitor. How are things going with the exams? Luke finishes today with Physics and Legal Studies, but really doesn't know what to do with himself in the future. Love to hear from hyou.

I'm holding my breath about all the jobs that need doing too! Did mention that he had stopped being a student and was now unemployed!!! Does Lachie have any plans for next year? You are lucky being in Melbourne so that access to unis is at least easier! We fall in that drreadful grey area that we earn too much for government assistance, but not enough to support him away from home and the other two boys!
We've beem even worse off than you weather wise - have hit the 40 degrees the last couple of days and I don't think tomorrow is any better! I still have to get out of bed tomake sure eveyone is up - what kills me is that 31 son gets up at 4:15 to start work at 5:00! Take care.

Roma dear, thank you so much for your kind words. It's hard to believe it's been a year since my brother passed on. A lot has happened since then. I was in Michigan in September to help my sister-in-law get ready for her move to Oklahoma to live with her middle daughter, son-in-law and 5 grandchildren! (She has since made the move). Because my niece homeschools her brood, I'm sure my sister-in-law will be a big help! Of course, she will be heading to New Jersey very soon to help daughter No. 1 with her new baby (#3!) who is due to arrive any day now. So she is keeping busy. I just wish the family wasn't spread out all over the country so that I could get to see them more often.

I hope you have been taking good care of yourself. I know you must be exhausted after Vici's visit, but in a good sort of way!

I read with regret about your brother with MND.
My Mother had this awful disease which progressed very rapidly,but I did nurse a man who had it for 10 yrs.The MND association was a real help.

Oh, Bean, I just read the terrible news about your brother. My heart aches for you. As you know, I lost my precious brother a year ago and am still feeling the pain. My thoughts are with you. Two years may not seem like much, but a lot can happen in medical research in that time frame. We will pray that a cure. ♥Jane
