Kathy.... I am SO excited! I just had 3 baby Gouldian Finches hatch. More may still hatch. They should all be red headed.

Right now I have 19 Gouldians, including the 3 new babies. I won't know for nearly 4 months what genders they are.

THanks for the cheery visit, Kathy! Al and I celebrated our birthdays well, even though the picnic I planned for him was interrupted by a torrent of rain! Still, we laughed and finished our wine before running to the car ...

Dear Kathy, thank you for visiting. My page is cleaned at least once a month, since it is the only room in this house I can clean.
Hubby, teased me yesterday, by going to work, but then was home all day today. He had another doctors appointment.
As for my darling girl, Kendall, I am so not ready for her to go to school. Then on the other hand, I am seriously thinking of boarding school in Switzerland. She is a bundle of energy and I would not change a thing about her. I know you have wonderful grandchildren, but my girl is tops. I say that un-baised.
Morgan is growing so fast, 8 weeks ago, you could hold her with one hand and forget that she was there (not really), she was so tiny. Now, she is working on 9 pounds and needs both hands, she is a little squiggle worm. Her hip ultra sound came out good, so no problems there.
I could keep rambling on, but the wee one is stretching her lungs demanding her dinner. She knows when I am talking about her. Till later.

Hello Kathy - thank you very much for visiting My Gallery and for your lovely comments about my most recent photos.
I had a wonderful time and the spectacular scenery in the north was just amazing, especially the Bungle Bungle and the flight over them.
We had a good group on our coach which always helps.
I met up with Fiona from N.T. in Darwin and we went out to tea and chatted the evening away. It was really lovely meeting up with her.
And yes, Bailey is now nearly 16months old and keeps Amanda on her toes.

I know, I'm going through a Sudoku season lull. I'm starting to pass on doing the puzzles some days or trying to find a way to join in. If something strikes, I can still turn it into the Plum show.
I certainly don't begrudge anyone their postings. I like when there is a lot of varied activity. I don't always read all of it, but I like staying connected on whatever level people feel comfortable. The more variety, the more people are attracted because they will feel that "even they" fit in.
I'm so glad shosho posts birthday greetings because I often forget to look.
Hope we can meet someday. Took a look at your Fripp Is. photos. Wow. I'd get up for these sunrises and then nap later in the day.

The 2008 pumpkin photo was taken with my old camera (Nikon Coolpix L4) and I think the night setting (longer exposure) right at the end of dusk. That brought out the candlelight from the pumpkins. The candles are the little teacup candles, Linda bought about 50 of them for 25 cents years ago. They are aluminium, about 1.25" (3cm) and about 1/2" in depth of wax. They burn about 3 to 6 hours then exhaust the fuel.
