Hey Jill, thanx for the recipe. By distance-challenged I was refering to the fact that home-made muffins aren't as popular here in Western Australia and so we have to scrounge great muffin recipes from our American friends. This one certainly does sound 'to die for'

Good luck with the pierogies! I am also lactose intolerant, nor can I eat garlic & onions or drink wine and I am going to Italy this week! HELP! Think I'll be VERY thin when I return!

Jill.... most people who are lactose intolerant can still handle goat milk. It is sold in a lot of stores, including Walmart Superstores. And I have noticed that stores that don't carry it fresh will carry it canned.

Jill, your costumes for this year sound adorable. I love costumes. I can just about match your family's choices of costumes if I go back through the years. I had a female Jedi last year. Another daughter was Dorothy when she was 9 or 10 and she had 3 friends who were the Tin Man, Scarecrow and Cowardly Lion. Then later, for a Circus Day costume event she was an Elephant Keeper with a HUGE Poop Scooper shovel on which was drawn the symbol of an elephant squatting over a pile of dark balls with the slash-in-a-circle international "NO" symbol over the top of the squatting elephant and its pile.

Hope you don't mind -- been hanging around your page a bit. Looks like you and I could be pretty good friends. I was born in Cleveland. I love baking and the home arts like sewing, etc. I have 3 kids (but no boys ) and I love pierogi -- especially Plum pierogi ). I'd love to have your pierogi recipe.

Other items of interest:(?) My father is lactose intolerant, but I, thankfully, am not. We raise dairy goats, BTW, but enjoy cows milk products, too. We homeschool. and do 4-H.
