i am in bountiful. however, my hubby has been your neighbor all summer! he has been in vernal working nonstop. he is usually there 2 weeks at a time then home for 1 sunday. this has been going on since the end of may and will continue for another 6 weeks. i sometimes go batty and demand he comes home. then he can come back on a thursday and stay until 4 am on mon. its been crazy. however, being from utah you know that while it can be lonely, utah makes it easier than say, new york! oh, bret is working out in the tar sands to oil place. he is an engineer. thanks for your reply, i love getting messages.

Hi Wilodene. Not sure if I've visited before and I just wanted to say I enjoyed your gallery immensely. Wonderful photos with evocative and descriptive captions. There really is something magical in the harsh beauty of the arid lands of our planet.

I think you would appreciate our outback and to see such an unforgiving terrain burst into flower after a spring rain is a sight to behold. You do wonder how such beauty as this [and the flower in your shot] can flourish under such conditions.

we tried to go visit him once and couldn't get a hotel room. also, we were told the dinosaur museum was closed for renovations. i might take you up on your offer though. when is a good time to visit? if i plan far enough in advance we might be able to get a room.

staying in bountiful. we are building a home here. the job out there is paying for this new home. bret doesn't like vernal at all. this is probably because he hasn't had the chance to see the beautiful side of it. the town itself is lacking what a hard working man wants...a good dinner. (i posted this answer to my own page! i must be tired.)

We have all been enjoying them greatly.

Hi Willodene! That's how I became a regular on the jigsaws ... someone ... June I think, told me about my photos being there and then I became a regular checker. They tend to show up here 4-6 months before they show up on the Sudoku!

That's also why a lot of people mix up Kate/Sydney and me ... Kate/Sydney was on the jigsaws before she came to sudoku!

Wilodene - I have enjoyed your photos so much on the puzzle page, and now I thought to tell you my new rescue dog adored your granddaughter's group fiddling "Jambalaya" - he climbed into my lap to stare at the screen until it was over! So she has a fan named Jasper, who obviously has a sophisticated sense for good music!

Whoops! Did I forget to mention that I enjoyed her playing s well?!

I took a moment to look at your gallery today and you are very skilled in capturing light, shadow and colors. I also enjoy your informative captions and your musing. Thank you for sharing pictures of your corner of our world. Also, I must say I have never heard of chocolate float cake. I am not much of a dessert person, but my husband loves chocolate cake, pie, etc. Would you mind providing the recipe when you get a chance (or I guess I could goggle it too).
