Kathy again! Thanx for your Easter sheep. They look like Easter eggs except they are the wrong shape. These GM sheep-food crops have a lot to answer for! The sheep turn into a load of 'smarties'!

Thank you for the Easter greetings. I've missed my time on the site, but with projects, taxes, conferences & emergency trips to So. Cal, time for fun has been limited (I have nearly a 1000 unread messages - that is an increase of about 800 in the last 2 months & I read probably 3 times what I left unread and deleted about as many as I left unread.) Occasionally, I did get to the site to do the puzzles, but didn't have time to get caught up on puzzles or what was going on. Thanks for thinking of me, its appreciated.

Glad you dropped by for a visit, Kathy! Yes, we're off to France: landing in Paris, grabbing a rental car then scooting up to Brussels for 2 days, then Bruges. Following that, we'll head back into Normandy to see Deauville/Etretat/Honfleur plus the Canadian cemeteries at Vimy and Dieppe; then over to Dinan/Mont St Michel. Next, our plans are to either travel like mad straight down to the Dordogne (we've found a great inn there where the owner has a hot air balloon) to see Sarlat/Rocamadour and maybe do a little wine sampling in St. Emilion. Are you tired yet? Then we go up to the Loire--we're actually staying in Chenonceau, right across from the chateau so we plan to see Chambord, maybe squeeze in a little cycling and more wine. We'll end up in Paris (been there/love it!)to catch a few of the sights we missed last time--Montmartre, maybe Pere Lachaise ... there should be plenty to do, and hopefully not as crowded before the summer crush of people descends. We'd originally planned to go to New Zealand this year, but the Christmas bonus didn't materialize! Still, Belgium and France aren't shabby and we're looking forward to it (but the organizing is exhausting!) Any other travel tips you have/restaurant recommendations are always appreciated! How is the weather out your way? I bet you have signs of Spring also. Yesterday is was 82 in Detroit! It is a little cooler at my house. We are about 50 miles north of Detroit, but it was great to have it warm. We could watch the green leaves come out on some of the underbrush in the woods and green buds on some of the trees. Ahhh! I love Spring. Have a great day!

Thanks so much for the birthday wishes and for the comments on the pictures that I posted. Corey was just home for a family wedding so we got to see him and he even got in some pictures this time. He wore his Navy dress whites and looked very handsome. I will hopefully be posting some new pictures soon from the wedding. Don't know if you noticed but this birthday is a big one for me so I plan on celebrating all month long until my daughter Chelsea's birthday on 5/28. Hope the next 50 years don't go as fast as these ones have. Any ideas for slowing down time?

Thanks for the anniversary wishes! It was truely a wonderful day for us! Over 40 friends and family were with us ...it was like icing on our cake of life! And, yes! I'm still in love after all these years!

How could one NOT feel special after haing a birthday on this site!
Since I am usually away (at the Indy 500) on my birthday, my birthdays often last a week. I finally celebrated my birthday with my family last night. (The best for last???... my 3 year-old and 4 month-old grandsons were there ...what can I say???)

Please add a 'v' to 'haing'!!!

Well, I'll be picking him up soon. His was just a minor surgery in the "same day" part of the hospital. So he'll be home and I'll have to watch over him a bit.
