Kathy - I might be up in your neck of the woods in a couple of months. Maybe we can figure out a way to get together for lunch. I'm planning to attend a First Communion in NJ on April 28, and then I'll be helping a friend move from Richmond, VA to northern VA sometime in May. I'm not sure if I'll drive to NJ yet, what with gas prices so high, but I'll definitely be driving to VA for my friend's move. I'll keep you posted of my travel plans. Just hope it will be warm enough to wear my Crocs so you'll recognize me!!

Kathy: Thanks for the invite but things are hectic. I'm in Oregon now at the beach and will return to DC on Monday but will leave on Wednesday for Great Briton to hop on the QM2 for an Atlantic crossing. Will be back in DC in May. The two days you mention will be filled up with repacking and doing some needed work at work. It would be fun to meet some other sodukolites some time.

My son didn't have a pet jumping all over him when he came back from Libya but my grandson took up the job instead!

I'm new here and to sudoku, just need a little help, I am not sure when to use "==" or "--" I understand the "--" if you would please give me an idea without pointing to a page to read which I have read a lot of them and still they leave out the explanation when to use == as opposed to --

Seriously, thank you for the birthday wishes. I had wonderful two-day celebration on this site and then a two-day celebration with my two sets of grandchildren (and their parents, too, of course). It was just a too-two great time all around!

In reply to your orange tree question...over a month ago...it'actually a clementine tree! The fruit is very sweet, about the size of a tangerine, ripe around xmas time but I'm still eating them even now! Not happy indoors when it's too cold as susceptible to red spider so I try to keep it somewhere cool rather than hot when it's freezing outside. It's 4 years old now & still growing well. Today it'sitting in 35°C in the blazing sunshine preparing the coming seasons fruit! Of course I forgot to say that I am a genius with plants...! They don't dare die on me! Will post you a photo of my latest orchid just to show off!

Thank you so much for the birthday wishes. Mrs S and I have been away for a fortnight in the sun on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland. We try and do that each year to get a break from the Tasmanian winter which actually hasn’t been too bad this year.
The weather was wonderful with no rain and maximums of about 25C (78F) each day. We also visited friends and generally had a great time.
Sorry, I did not respond earlier but I did not get any alerts that I had received messages but I really appreciate your message.

Just thought of something else about my recent purchase of a Dyson vacuum, it is the only vacuum cleaner that actually sucks from the sides as well as the front (obviously they all suck up from under the broom head, don't they??!!).

Decided to add my comment from earlier today (Aussie time) in case you don't/didn't see it! Also corrected a couple of errors!
Kathy, I bought a Dyson DC29, a couple of weeks ago (~$670 Aussie dollars). Works like a Trogan!! It's not an upright - looks a bit like a giant snail. So far I'm extremely pleased with it, but it needs to be emptied often! I'm hoping this will change when it's finally finished getting all the stuff out of the carpet & rugs that the old vacuum wasn't getting!!!!!
