Just had a major brain explosion.
Have you met Jill from Ohio? She is another prego person on site. We are close in date. But who will go first is a question for others too. Though we know, but it is still a toss up. She does not think she is as far along as her doctor says and I say I am further along than what mine says. We really trust the medical profession.

Jamie, are we down to days yet, or is it hours!
You must be so looking forward to retirement. Do you have any plans? Travel maybe? Down under maybe?!
Wishing you all the best and may your final working weeks be a breeze.

How is your 'new life' going? I bet your days have been filled beyond. Does Gus sit in your front garden all the time? He must be an icon in the neighbourhood. Take care.

Hi, Jamie! First of all, I want to welcome you to the "Land of Retirement" where life is all fun and games and there are no Monday mornings. Next, I want to urge you to come to FionaFest! I read your comments yesterday and do hope you will be able to join us!! Our "official" festivities include a Thursday evening picnic/beach party and a luncheon on Friday. Although Sue and her hubby will be there a day earlier, we will all be there from Thursday, the 23rd through Sunday the 26th. Do make plans to attend!!! ♥ Jane

Thought I'd get my two cents in, I bought yerba mate from Plum. Get it! I like drinking it in the afternoon. But today I'm going to try it iced. Will let you know how that taste. After spending three weeks in the south (NC) I've developed a taste for iced tea.

Jamie, hope you kick your migraine quickly! Yuck. I took early retirement from teaching several years ago and don't miss a second of it--the planning, the marking, the interviews. Nope, never give it a thought. Now when August and September roll around, I enjoy them without that dreaded "here we go again" feeling. That said, I still get e-mails from some of my students, and it's always a treat to hear what they're up to and how their lives are going.

Jamie it is amazing how many people I have heard say that - love the teaching and the kids, but the meetings and administrivia are wearing us down! Also expectations of parents and government that schools will solve all the problems of the world and will bring up our kids!

Well, I can understand your desire to work the supplemental teacher jobs given the circumstances. When is you eye surgery scheduled? One of my neighbours had his cataracts removed last fall, one eye one week the the other a week later, and he was out and about almost immediately within a day or two of each procedure. Hope everything goes smoothly for you.

You tell me, my long lost friend, well, maybe not lost. One minute, I am telling the world there is going to be a new bundle of joy to love and then bam...it is a year later. Christmas used to surprise me, now I have these two lovies and it shocks me, one will be 4 (Monday) and a 1 year old, (yesterday).
Jamie, these girls are amazing, a second favorite past time these days, is just watching them, the way they think, play, solve their own problems, what is a higher word than amazing? And I am saying this on a day that both of them tried their best to send me to the funny farm.
I could write several tomes, on each of these girls, since they are my favorite topic, in short, everyday is a blessing with them (this said, as I am packing them up to go to their aunts house). I am totally exhausted at the end of the day but my heart is smiling and happy.
Also, school starts in 9 more weeks, not that I am counting, we are moving on to PK-4.
I hope all is well with you and your family. How is the retirement working for you? Have you got to start it yet? Take care and know that I am peaking in every once in a while to check up on people.

Jamie, No worries. I totally took it as a good-natured rib. I figured it had something to do with the puzzle, but didn't ask as I figured it would just give away more of the answer. I didn't even think to use "your page" to ask.
I just had no clue until I saw the answer how bone-headed I was. You'd think I could of at least enjoyed a breeze as it all flew over my head

Jamie, not sure if you saw my post since it was rather late and my schedule has been erratic. Hopefully if you can't make mornings around sudokuland with school back in session, you'll still pop in on evenings and weekends. Enjoy your last summer vacation weekend!
