Well Canuck Greg caught the spirit and carried you over, and we're already at Monday evening.
Anne, Oooh -- lovely. Altoona from Frankland River. (Here in Quebec we get a reasonable selection of wines from SA and the East, but very little from the West. Greg has a bigger selection to go with his beavertails! in Ontario. Make sure to diet for two days before you arrive. Then I'll take you for some poutine! and a long glass of cold beer.) And spider orchids - how did I not remember to mention them? As a child, did you too have secret places nearby in the bush where they would reappear each year?
Great fun to have the missing words from Road to G. and imagine having someone singing along with me (only my kids have any idea of the old Aussie refrains). I then checked online - turns out I'd also forgotten line 4 >> "Where the blue gums are growing, And the Murrumbidgee's flowing, Beneath that sunny sky." etc. Appears there is a preliminary verse (?), and one after as well. No memory of them at all. And my French-Canadian neighbour's e-mail farewell. "Best". Bev

Hi Anne! I haven't posted on your page for a long time so thought I would today. Woke up early with a bad headache. I cannot lay down when I have a headache - strange! So while the rest of the family sleeps I have been reading posts from many days back to try to catch up on Sudoku happenings. Glad to see you posting today. Hope you are well! ♥

I just took a few minutes to view your photo gallery--some very beautiful shots of beautiful places. You have a great 'eye' for composing a wonderful photograph as well as the good fortune to live near or visit interesting places. My visit to Broome, years ago, was work related and it was before digital camera days so there are a few shots but nothing like yours. Thank you--they are great.

Just watched the first race from Albany and backed the winner whatsmore. Looks overcast but no idea how hot it is.
Hope all is well. Haven't got a WA trip planned for next year. None of the dog clubs want me.

The leg was only a joke. You know the old comedian's line " I lost 3 stone last week, I had a leg amputated."
I not really execcising yet, I need to lose a bit more weight first but I have to say I'm not really finding the diet difficult. There are so many things you can buy these days that help, like No fat low suger yoghurt, canned fruit in natural juice with no sugar,lean cuisine frozen meals etc. Golden rules , no sugar, no bread, no fats, and no potatoes. Occasional new red skin one okay provided you leave the skin on. The real difference is that I've cut out all between meals snacks. Weather doesn't look much different after race 4.

Thanks for your note, Anne! Yes, I am keeping fit (or trying to). Still riding my bike everyday and working out at the gym three or four days a week. I am thankful that Jaime has been in good spirits, so we're trying to maintain as normal a routine as possible. Just wish we'd hear from Cleveland so we can get the whole story about Jaime's condition. It's good to be back in Sudokuland, and I'm going to try to check in at least once a day. How are things in your neck of the woods? ♥Jane

You live in a beautiful part of the world. I was around your way a few years ago and it's a really pretty place.

Thanks, Anne, for the duplicate post on my page. I, am in some respects envious. Not real sure about Route 66 though. The original road is mostly obliterated by Interstate highways now. There are some sections through small towns. some research may be in order...
