Hello Anne.
First, congratulations on being the 200th comment on my page. Guess that's not too impressive since I will be the one to contribute the 1,258,549th comment to your page.
Second, now I have to go back and look at all of the pictures to see which one prompted your comment.
Just kidding, of course. But I will have to review to make sure I know which one you're talking about.
Cheers!

Your photo of Little Beach just takes my breath away! Absolutely beautiful!

I do have enough breath left to thank you for your birthday wishes. It's always a treat celebrating with my Sudoku friends. I have a hard time explaining to others how I can feel so close to people I have never met. I think we all do. It's a Sudokuland phenomenon!

G'day Anne. Got your latest message this morning and reviewed the earlier ones.
Key West was a fun trip. We had been there before... About 40 years ago, so it was like a new experience.
Glad you enjoyed the pictures. Thanks for the comments.

Anne,
I went to this beach in 2010 and stood on the rocks looking at the bay, I turned towards the sea and saw a whale...it was awesome. I'm still a daily player but hardly ever comment. You and I have been to so many places I love having the photos revealed and try to guess where it is. Last holidays we went over Lake eyre and drove to Coober Pedy and the Flinders Ranges...it was lovely to get your message. I'm home from work recovering from an arthroscopy so I have a lot more time. Love Judi

Hello Anne, thanks for your note! John and I have been settling down to domestic life since we came back here from WA (that seems so long ago!).
My daughter got married at the weekend, and I am starting to tidy up after the trip to the Hunter where the wedding took place. How is life down in Albany these days? Cheers, Robin

Thanks for your welcome Anne. I have been doing the puzzles and following the commentary for some time now. I have to spend some more time finding my way around the site before I start offering comments. That may take a while but I will get there in the end.

Anne, in answer to your query on my page - I was ADC to the Governor General for two and a half years in the 60's and lived either in Government House Canberra or Admiralty House - or wherever His Excellency was staying at the time. It was a full-time, live-in job - 24/7 as they say these days.

Hi Anne, my health has been a bit ordinary for the last couple of months but I am happy to say that my cardiologist seems to have found a solution that works - at least temporarily.
ADC stands for Aide de Camp who is effectively the personal assistant to any high ranking officer. There were three of us, one from each Service, and we all lived in Government House. It was an extremely interesting, but fairly stressful life.
I hope you are keeping well. Anne sends her regards.

You have a brilliant memory. Yes, I served about 12 months as Senior ADC to Lord De L'Isle. But I started off initially as ADC to Field Marshal Sir William Slim (later Viscount Slim of Yarralumla), then 12 months as Senior ADC to Lord Dunrossil - until he died in office, and about six months working for General Sir Dallas Brooks who came up from Victoria as Administrator until the appointment of a new Governor General (De L'Isle).

Hi Anne, Seems I have been remiss in answering your comment on the picture of CP & me in my gallery. Coming from one of the better, more prolific photogs on the site I appreciate your comment, but can't take credit for anything except supplying the camera. The picture taker was a young fellow, who was part of a school tour group, that I 'pressed into service'.

Your picture, at the top of the page, of Little Beach at Two Peoples Bay is truly stunning. What an idyllic location.

Hello Anne, thanks for the note about the statue. I must have missed that boardwalk in Albany!! As I missed so much of it in any case..too big a country, isnt it. I do hope all is going well for you also. John and I are settled back here in Bowen Mountain (2753 is the postcode) and it's pretty cold at night. I bet you are getting similar conditions over there too. Have you had a chance to travel a bit lately? I keep wanting to make a move, but there is always some excuse or other. It may take dynamite!! cheers, Robin
