Jane, thank you for the information on shrimp. I read the article and am now looking for the research studies mentioned on the cholesterol in shrimp, but this sounds promising. Goes to show, what is bad for you one day is good for you another day. We really still need to learn so much about heart disease and it's causes and cures. Hubby will be happy to hear we can relax about shrimp a bit and have more often.

When did your hubby have his open heard surgery? for Al it was 2002, and he woke up saying he felt so much better! Well, with 5 clogged arteries, I can see why he did feel better, you know.

I talked enough about sea food, had to make something from the sea, so thawed the crab meat and made a nice crab salad and it was yummy.

Now when you come read over on SA5, do leave us a message, say Hello, always nice to see familiar faces dropping in for a visit.

Jane, just read your question about OpenOffice. I've asked hubby and he says it is very safe, very compatible and getting more so all the time. It has it's own file format but also has Microsoft formats. If you are using it for spreadsheets and word processing, it's very good. It has it's own way of doing things, but once you get used to it, it works very well.
He says if you have any more questions, he would be happy to help if he can. He has used it, but because he has Office, he doesn't use it now. It is like Office 2003 interface rather than the latest version of Office.

Hi Jane! Stopped by for a look at your pictures & enjoyed them. Your area took a far worse hit from Fay than our area did! There was no flooding or damage here at all. We were so lucky. Love your collie dog picture. Would you believe Rob & I had a very similar one (mixed breed) named Princess. Guess I'll have to dig up a picture of her now! Funny how Sudoku connections inspire us to do things

PS enjoy the Open! Don't watch a lot of tennis on TV, but I have been to Wimbldon on a couple of days in 1970!!!! Saw Margaret Court play Yvonne Goolagong in the finals. Saw a lot of Aussies: Roche, Newcombe, Rosewall and the other one who's name has gone out of my head!!!I can see him very well, because I also walked right behind him at some stage. He had a huge left arm. But I also saw billy Jean King & Arthur Ashe as well as a few others! Also saw Prince Charles getting into his MG!

Looks like I'm almost at a CP on your page, so I decided to change my avatar to confuse anyone who might be watching!!LOL!!! Even when I saw your comment this morning I still couldn't remember his name, but as I continued reading it popped into my head - Rod Laver!! The semis & finals were virtually all Aussies that year. I saw the doubles & women's finals & the men's semi finals, as well as 2 days prior so i probably did see Guillermo Vilas as well. I do have the program some where! A group of us (4 to 6, can't remember!!??) got the train from Epsom to Wimbledon each day. It was so much fun! I never played while I was there though - no courts anywhere near! I learnt to play when I was 15/16 and we were in Toowoomba Queensland. We lived on the Airforce base and there were quite a few kids around my age living there at that time so my Dad organised for us to have tennis lessons. The tennis court was next to the parade ground which was in front of our house, so we were able to use it a lot. There were four kids in my family who were all old enough to play, even if no one else could at that particular time!! One of M&D's "town" friends also had a court AND 2 teenage sons!! so when we went there for gatherings we always played tennis! I was nearly 17 when we went to England and I'd hardly touched a racquet since Toowoomba when my daughter started school in 1980, & I was asked to play with some other mothers on a Monday morning. I worked part time so that fitted & I played for about 18mths till my work days changed, then came another long gap till I started playing again after breaking an ankle in 2005, Had another gap when I broke the other one in 2006!! I used to have a good serve, could get an ace down the centre line quite often, & was good on the net - new how to jump for a ball (played centre in netball for a while!). But sadly those skills are not what they used to be - don't do much jumping at all (don't want to break an ankle again!!). So I'm happy to play where ever you want me, but I doubt I'm anywhere near your's or Kathy's standard!

Jane - your weekend at Hilton Head sounds superb! Hope you guys have some good play.
I am probably routing for Rafa - I know it's good to see new blood coming up through the ranks, but I'm such a sucker for a "class act" when it comes to atheletes. I was SO glad Roger beat that rude lil Serb...I really don't like him at all - he's just he opposite of what impresses me in sports figures. Roger is such a gracious man...and I think he's been playing through illness this year (although he doesn't admit it)
OK - enough of a rant from me. I do like watching Murray play -he's spectacular! Just not that fond of his personality.
How about you???

Hello Jane - long time, no visit.
Just had a quick look (I'm at work) at your "oldie" photos which are rather stunning, well, you are, not just the photos. I think it's put me off of putting any of me on my page after seeing yours, but like you I was always behind the camera so don't have very many of me back then.
Cheers

Hey Miss Hottie! Thanks for the tips on resizing and such. Hope to get to it a bit later so should have them up (if all goes well) by this evening...only got one up so far, and it is a bit bigger than I had hoped (lots of just guessing re: size)

Jane, loved your photos, but you are missing the key point that once a hottie always a hottie! At least that is my story and I am sticking with it! Looks like you are a fun loving/living kind of person, now that's being a hottie on the inside!

Take care and have a great day!
Aimee :-)

OK - I'm out there! I just got the pics all uploaded. Some are bigger than I was hoping for, but it's the best I can do with my limited puter skills. (That smilie is not me, btw!)

Hi again! thanks for the quick reply - I guess condos are what we used to call "flats", though I notice that my kids now call them "apartments" (just to make me feel old!) You have some really lovely photos - gives me a bit of the travel-bug looking through them all! :)
