Hello Jane - thank you my loyal subject for your birthday wishes on Friday. I did have a lovely day and yes, I had a cake at work and we stopped for morning tea although my lunch break was spent at a doctor's appointment then followed by some blood tests!!
The rest of the day was lovely with tea at my daughter's place in the evening.

Hi Jane,
Thanks for your condolences about Emma - our (the) cat. Funnily enough as you say happened to you, this cat found us about 18 years ago. It was a stray pedigree Maine-Coon cat. She was full of spirit, very aphysical, but full of fun and intelligence. She has been weak and frail for a long time. For the past few days she had been behaving in a strange way, and this morning we think she had a heart attack whilst getting up from a sleep. Can anything adverse else happen right now, I ask?

Yes, Mr P came home with 2 bottles of Raspberry Chipotle sauce (and a lot of grumbling about their price!!). Haven't tried the sauce yet. And I had a headache yesterday!!!!

I guess you will find out soon enough what it is like to be married for 41 years. In my humble opinion it was the best thing I ever did.

Hi Jane! Just got back from the hospital with dad. He's fine, walking around, just has to remember to get up on his side. I have schedule myself and my brothers to be around for him at least three times a day until he's back to his old self. On daily basis either I or the caregiver will be there. I just am resigned to the fact that this is something I have to do mainly out of love.

Hi Jane. Popped in to say thank you for your concern...I hear you loud and clear ...I am trying hard to recuperate!! Seem to be good one day and not the next but it will take more than some little virus to bump this Bean off!! My son was so kind to share this little bug with me...at least I haven't been trying to do exams whilst being sick like he has!! I actually slept for 20 hrs one day...unheard off!!

Really enjoyed looking at the latest shots in your gallery. I look forward to riding that bike trail with you one day...looks really beautiful.

Ooops slipped up. They haven't left yet. Hope they don't take a final look around the garden and behind this tree where I am sitting on the case of champagne. (Jane will be sorry she missed that!)

Hello Jane - Welcome back! There isn't too much new around here except thunderstorms. It has been about 80 the last few days and we are expecting the same today with more thunderstorms! Saturday a Funnel cloud was spotted and we had winds up to 70 mph. When we lose our power, we lose our water also. (We have our own well.) Country living! It is so nice to have all the snow gone. Our grass is mostly green now and the leaves are starting to come out on the trees. It is just about time to get out the hummingbird feeders!

I am sure you had a great time with Kathy/Rob, but at the same time it is always good to get home.

Jane, I will be traveling to Jekyll Island this summer, along with a bunch of 5th grade girl scouts. We are taking a trip to Savannah to Juliette Gordon Lowe's (GS founder) birthplace. My co-leader's parents own a house on Jekyll so we get to stay there for free! Anyway was thinking we could meet if your island is close to Jekyll Island! I think the week is in July sometime, I'll have to check.

Thanks for the 40th anniversary wishes! We had a wonderful day! As I told our guests... they all enhanced our lives at one time or another during our 40 years together. My Sudoku family's wishes are added to those treasures!
