It was so nice to meet all of you. Crystal said she really enjoyed the trip and I know I did. Sorry I had to leave early, but the chairs were just a bit much.

Jane, so sorry that you will be spending Thanksgiving attending your brother's funeral.

November is an especially sad month in my family, too. My father passed away 11/23/02, and my father-in-law on 11/26/06 (alas, Hubby's birthday!)

Journey mercies as you travel this week. My condolences to you and your family as you say goodbye to your brother and he rests in Jesus' arms.

Oh, Jane, I've just learned about your sad news and know how much you your brother has been in your thoughts these past months. We don't want anyone we love to suffer, so mercifully your brother is now spared that. I know full well how devout faith can sustain people through times like this and hope it helps that I will be praying for you and your family. Sending you my warmest hug and deepest condolences. If you have special memories of your brother that you want to share, I'm around to listen and help you pay tribute to the life he led. Bless you and your family during this very difficult time.

Jane, my sincere condolences are added to the many you have already received. As you say, at least your brother was spared much of the pain that would have come his way. That said, it doesn't make this much easier for you and your family. May you hold dear all of your wonderful memories! My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Jane, Glad you made the trip safely and found comfort in the service and your family's strength. God has a way of giving us what we need to get through the sadness of saying goodbye...
Happy to hear your outing to Savannah, and some needed sleep, helped restore you to near normalcy...keep it going.

Hi, Jane! Thank you so much for the thoughtful birthday greetings! With all you have had going on in your life in the past few weeks, sending a birthday greeting to a friend in Sudokuland is not a high priority. Continued thoughts and prayers are flying your way. (P.S. Can I send you some of our snow, too? )

Oh, Jane, thanks so much for sharing a little of your brother with me! He sounds like such a wonderful man who lived with gusto, and I know how much you must miss him.
Too, I've wandered through your picture gallery and got a lot of smiles at the ones of the SF gathering. So nice to "meet" some terrific people on your page.

Jane, I just became aware of your loss and offer you my deepest condolences. It is so very difficult to deal with such a loss, particularly during the holiday season (I know this well, my husband died on Dec 20 six years ago). My thoughts are with you at this time.

Hi Jane,
I checked in late today, so I'm posting to your page instead of the main page re:decluttering. I'm in the middle of a similar downsizing: I like Mymare's idea re: 10 minutes, and I do something close to that (we have a gret Freecycle system here) but I still have to do some MAJOR shedding. I'm still in the 2500 sq foot house, but trying to get down to 4 medium rooms worth of stuff. Any tips for letting go of family heirlooms?

Hi Jane! Thanks for your birthday greetings on my page. I was very pleased & surprised that I actually DID get to have a birthday cake. As our group was waiting in the hotel lobby to take a bus to the airport, our guide arranged to have a cake brought out to me. Everyone sang HB to me, & then our Cambodian guide presented me with a special gift from him, a beautiful runner embroidered with a scene of Angkor Wat where we had watched the sun rise that morning. I was so touched. It was a wonderful day, one I will long remember.
